Solves the problem at a very reasonable cost
Bought this to use with a prison concert ministry so we wouldn't have to run cables from the computer to the projector. That cable run would have crossed an aisle-way where people would be walking. I tested it in my garage and it worked flawlessly. I needed to use the included USB wires to power both the transmitter and receiver.Setup was super simple and I was surprised that it already had all the adapters/cables I needed to plug it in. There's two short USBC cables plus two USBC-USBA adapters so you can plug the extra cable (for power to the transmitter and receiver) into whatever is available.Took it to the concert where it also worked flawlessly. The computer was a late model macbook so I did have to have a USBC to HDMI adapter. Most of these also have a USBC along with HDMI which was perfect for the wireless transmitter. On the transmitting end, I bundled up the transmitter with the adapter plus the USBC for power and taped it all together so that nothing would get lost. The same thing was true on the projector (receiving) end but, since it had USBA, I was glad to have the adapters! This way, when we got there, we just plugged the transmitter into the computer, plugged the receiver into the projector and turn everything on! It connected with zero trouble. No bulky HDMI cables to run (which would have caused a tripping hazard). You can easily pay more for a good quality HDMI cable. Instead, this wireless solution is much simpler to setup and gives you tons of flexibility for where you put the source (computer).

Works great
Took a risk and tried it. This thing works great! I used to string bulky HDMI cables across my office to put a computer screen up on my big screen. This lets you keep the receiver on the TV and the transmitter on the table -- plug into HDMI and USB-C and it throws your display up there. A bit pricey compared to a cable but it's probably pretty high tech inside and the convenience is totally worth it.

Works good but you must power the units via a USB source
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Recommendation from an RV board to use instead of a HDMI cable that needed replacementSpeed:Speed is sufficient for DVDsFunctionality:These worked for sending video and audio output from a DVD player to a TV that is 20 ft away. There is very slight delay as the DVD has its own speakers and the TV has a separate set. One of the speaker systems must be disabled to prevent the echo sound.Portableness:Should be portable as long as you have a USB port to power the TX and RX units.Ease of setup:Once powered up, they worked out of the box. I hope I never lose the pairing, but they do provide instructions if you do.Picture quality:No problem with picture quality using a standard DVD on an older player.Value for money:Cost is OK if there is no good alternative. Replacing a damaged cable, in my case, would be a huge amount of work.

Small, quiet, and simple. Great mobile solution for connecting to a TV!
The media could not be loaded. What you get:A transmitter and receiver "stick" adapters -- please take note!! If you swap them, you will not be able to send video! They ONLY work one way!!!Two USB-A to USB-C cords to power the adapters. Yes, they require separate power form the HDMI cable making this a two-cord installation on BOTH sides. If you TV has a 5V USB port, you're in good shape, otherwise you may need a separate power brick. Be advised!Adapters for mini and micro HDMI ports, and a USB-C to HDMI adapter for most laptops. You also get a simple HDMI extender which makes it much easier to install behind a TV that's close to a wall. What I liked:This was SUPER easy to set up! Two plugs on each side, and it just worked!! No special software or configuration. For me, it defaulted to screen mirroring from Windows, but after that worked just like any other monitor. Not sure what else you could want!I also liked that it was very quiet. I had tried another device to transmit my monitor via HDMI, but it had a cooling fan inside that was always running, and meant there was some minor background noise behind my TV. This one is much quieter.Any complaints? Not really. The device dangles a bit like a Chromecast, but on the TV side that seemed pretty standard. On the laptop side, that dangling connection is a bit more noticeable. I would have liked if there were a way to have a more stable connection like a USB-to-HDMI adapter that clipped on to my laptop somehow. The other thing that would be nice to have is some kind of carrying case or bag. This is a GREAT tool for travel, but not something I see installed 24/7 on my computer. Maybe I'll attach it to my desktop someday, but until then, I'll be packing it back in the box when I'm done, and a bag with a drawstring would've been nice.Overall, the device itself is awesome. I highlight recommend it and think it was well worth the cost.

Not recommended (long-term use review)
I’m writing this review to help other buyers. If you’re looking for a wireless HDMI product, this one is extremely unreliable.I purchased this product around May. At first, I was amazed that HDMI could work wirelessly. I initially used it with a Mac Mini M4 and a large TV monitor, and although there were occasional disconnections and reconnections, it wasn’t frequent enough to be a dealbreaker. Later, I tried using it with a MacBook Air M3 and the TV monitor, and this time there were no disconnections at all, which made me quite pleased. However, I soon discovered that both the microphone and audio had stopped working. During a critical Zoom meeting, any attempt to play or capture audio would cause Zoom to crash immediately. At first, I thought it was a computer issue, but once I unplugged the HDMI and connected via AirPlay, everything worked fine. While wireless HDMI is an innovative concept, I do not recommend this particular product. If you’re considering buying it, please take into account all the issues I mentioned. I plan to throw this product away immediately and never use it again. I hope this review is helpful.
