Best 4K monitor under ₹20000
The media could not be loaded. All photos included are on 50% brightnessIf you’re on the hunt for a 4K monitor that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, the LG 27US500-W is a gem. As a backend developer, editor I’ve been using this monitor for a few months—and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer.Naming Decode27US500-W breaks down to:• 27 = 27-inch• U = Ultrafine (4K)• S = 2024 model• 500 = Model line• W = White variantDisplay & ClarityWith a 27-inch 4K IPS panel pushing ~163 PPI, it hits the sweet spot—no visible pixels, just sharp, crisp content. Whether it’s text or true 4K visuals, everything looks stunning.BrightnessI had doubts about the 300 nits brightness, especially since my desk sits near a window. But no issues so far—I keep it at 50% at night and around 70% in daylight. Unless you’re in direct sunlight (like a balcony), you’re golden. Minor color shift when dimmed, but nothing that’ll jump out unless you’ve got a trained eye.Color AccuracyThis thing delivers:• 10-bit (8-bit+FRC)• 99% sRGB, 90% DCI-P3• Delta E of 2-3 (so slightly noticeable differences from pro-level monitors like the 27UQ850 or Dell U2723QE, which sit below 1.5).Still, for most creative work and everyday use, colors are vibrant, accurate, and just feel right.HDR10Adds that extra bit of visual depth—better highlights, deeper shadows. Great for movie nights, though enabling HDR can sometimes give the screen a slight greenish tint. Just toggle it as needed.ConnectivityPro tip:HDMI maxes out at 4K 30Hz, which sucks for desktop use. I grabbed a UGREEN USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable and—boom—clean, sharp visuals with no compression artifacts. No USB-C with charging here, but honestly, at this price, I’d rather get the better panel.Extras That MatterOn-Screen Control (via LG’s app) makes tweaking settings like brightness and screen-splitting super easy.Panel has no USB ports, so you’ll want a good USB hub and maybe a monitor arm for cleaner cable routing.⸻What You Should KnowErgonomics:Only tilts up and down. Get a monitor arm with a spring mount and forget about it.Speakers:There aren’t any. But who uses built-in speakers anyway?Brightness:Fine indoors, might not hold up under blazing sunlight.HDR Tint:Expect a greenish tint sometimes when HDR is on. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note.Build & Design:Bezels are on the thicker side, but once you’re focused on that beautiful screen, you stop caring.⸻VerdictFor the price, the LG 27US500-W punches way above its weight. Great display, accurate colors, and practical features—just plug in the right cable and maybe toss in a monitor arm and USB hub, and you’re set.

Good package at the price point but with some panel quality issues
Great monitor overall but has some panel quality issues. In the first few days itself found many dead/stuck pixels (30+ by the end of first week) so had to return. HDR was not usable as well due to a lot of text haloing when scrolling and overall image quality coming out duller. Also found performance worse in Mac compared to Windows.

Screen Bleeding / IPS Glow and Dead Pixel after 1 Month of Usage
I didn't notice the screen bleeding after purchasing this as its not obvious in daylight. But if you look at a black image in dark, the screen bleeds from all corners. And its really bad. Also I found one dead pixel after using it for ~1.5 months. Color accuracy is decent for basic usage.

4k resolution is better.
The media could not be loaded. Colours on the screen are good, with proper 4K resolution and compatibility with Apple products.
