We have a 4 month old, and she sleeps in our bedroom. She goes to bed well before we do. We live in a 2 story townhome, so it's hard to hear her from downstairs. We got this not really needing the camera aspect yet since she isn't mobile, but the camera makes this 1000% better than we expected. It's easy to set up, easy to use, easy to share, and sooo cost efficient. Camera baby monitors go for 100$+ and we just didn't see the point in spending that much money on something we will only use for a couple years max. The night vision works great, even though it makes our daughter and cats look like little demons when their eyes are open lol. The sound has a little lag but it's only a second or two, so not bad. The two way talk function works great. My husband says I sound a little "tinny" on the monitor side, but we didnt expect perfect sound quality from a 20$ camera. It's great to mess with my husband while the baby and I are already downstairs. All in all it's a great product and completely worth the money. If you dont think you NEED a camera monitor, think again. It makes life so much easier.

We use this as our baby monitor and have the app open while he's sleeping. Overall the monitor itself works well, but we thought that the motion detection would give us an alert while the app is open just in case our baby moves when we aren't looking at our phone, but it only gives alerts/notifications when the phone is locked for some reason which defeats the purpose of having the motion detection feature for us (we aren't comfortable just relying on the motion detection alerts without also having the video on our phone). We're hoping for an app update in the future that will allow the functionality that we're needing. Note: you have to buy the micro SD card separately to even turn the motion detection feature on, but you can find them pretty cheap on Amazon. The customer service has been fantastic and very responsive!

This camera is easy to use. However, the instructions are a bit wonky but if you are relatively good with technology you don't even need them. We didn't purchase a memory card, but we don't even need it to view the stream from the app. The cloud storage options also seem relatively cheap as well. The camera itself needs to be connected to WiFi, but you don't need to be on the same network to view the stream. This is great if you are out or working while someone is watching your child. The night vision is very sharp and clear. We are so happy with this product when comparing it to our first monitor that was triple the price, but didnt offer the online viewing.

This is a pretty good baby monitor. The picture is great, I like how you can zoom it in, and customize settings. It is possible to use without an SD card, but I really recommend getting one. It has a place you can set the motion detection sensitivity which is nice, because it can get really sensitive. We love on a busy street, and reflections off cars passing was setting of the notification. A couple negatives I've found: first, there is no sound detection, only motion detection; second, sometimes the notifications won't pop up on my phone; third, the camera view on the app will time out after a bit. This means that if my baby is crying but lying still, it won't send me a notification, or sometimes, I won't get a notification on my phone, and I can't leave it open all night on my phone because it will time out. All in all, I'd say this camera is better suited for nanny cam, pet cam, or home security. Still deciding on if we will continue using this as a baby monitor or purchasing something new or in addition.

I bought these to keep an eye on my aging sick mother and the aides that are with her. Very easy to setup to your phone. I like that I can talk to through the camera.

I bought this monitor for when I am downstairs washing his bottles and I am really impressed with this monitor. It was easy to set up and very compact so it can fit in a corner and go unnoticed. The only complaints I have is that the sound lags behind a bit and there is not an off button because I really only need it on for 30 minutes a day so I have to unplug it every time which is just a tad bit annoying.

We purchased this as a second/portable video baby monitor as our primary one is permanently mounted to our nursery wall.We wanted one that could easily be moved from room to room or taken to our parents’ houses, etc.This camera is perfect. The video quality is amazing for just $35, it was very easy to set up, and the app is easy to use. We use it for live streaming (which appears to have ~5 second delay vs real time), but you can also insert a micro SD to record. You can take pics within the app (i.e. my pic with my daughter in it), which looks like a fish eye view, or screen show with your phone (pic without my daughter), to get a wider viewing angle.Highly recommend!

This is a pretty simple straight forward and affordable security camera. It's easy to setup and uses wifi and the Showmo app from your phone to view. The color quality is good and the night vision is not bad given the price. The camera does not tilt and just has one long panoramic view which is why I say it's very straight forward. The microphone is also good. I have not used the mini SD card feature to save and record. Overall, it's worth the price given the simplicity and quality.
