Great deal
Received in 3 days. Excellent for the price. Used at an archery tournament and what a difference over my old Vortex Raptors. Very happy. Feel good in hand. Very clear optics. They are a little on the light weight side which can make the image a little shaky, but is better for carrying. I like the tension on the focus wheel. Chest harness works excellent.

A great entry point into good Binoculars
I know there are tons of reviews out there already on the Diamondback HDs (10x42) but just adding my quick observations. First impressions... the bino feels good in hand and smaller than expected, in a good way. The amor is grippy and tough. Controls are excellent and no slop in the focus adjust wheel. It generally feels like a first rate product with no real flaws to speak.Optically, sharpness in the center is excellent and gradually less so as you move towards the outer frame. Excellent clarity and bright image. FOV is sufficient for a 10x in this class. A little bit of chromatic aberration appears sometimes in super bright conditions but mostly goes unnoticed unless you are super sensitive to it. For the price... hard to expect better optical performance. A joy to view with. The Diamondback HDs is an excellent value and easy to recommend to my friends. I also like the Celestron Trailseekers and Athlon Midas G2 UHDs.

Good optics for a great price
Vortex is currently putting out some great optics for a decent price. Bought these for my nephew who lives on a lake where there is always something to look at. These are good everyday optics for general purpose and is just what I wanted to replace an old pair of subpar bino’s. Vortex has the contract to produce optics for the U.S. mi.itary so they are at the top of their game. Plus the lifetime warranty is worth buying Vortex. I own a pair of HD Fury’s, a Vortex riflescope as does my son and my other hunting partner.

Great optics
A lot of binoculars are too wide for my eyes even completely collapsed. These collapse far enough and fit my face great. I love the rubbery grip and the way they feel in my hands and the glass is really good. I’m not an expert, but these are nicer than any that I’ve had before. I also love the eyepieces because you can click them out one or two positions which work better without eyeglasses when they’re out and better all the way in when you’re not using eyeglasses.

Just like Dimond back HD at a much better price.

Value compared to Vortex Copperhead HDs
You can find tons of reviews on these binos, but this OPMOD deal is really great. Depending on price fluctuations, these are anywhere from 75 to 125 dollars cheaper than the standard DBack HD pricing. And the only difference is the color scheme. I had just bought some of the limited run Vortex Copperheads 10x42s and these DBacks are upgrades in several ways. DBacks are significantly shorter. Weight is comparable. DBacks are a lot brighter in low light and can focus on objects much closer. Chromatic aberration is still there but a bit reduced. And the focus fall off is not quite as bad as the Coppers. The optics just seem like the next level up. Focus wheel is a bit looser on Dbacks which some will like and others will not. Overall there is nothing wrong with the Copperheads IMO. Especially for $100. But For only 50 bucks more, this OPMOD variant of the Diamondbacks is an easy recommend. At the normal $240-270 it is hard to recommend the DBacks over the Coppers. But it's practically a no-brainer if you can scrape together the extra $50. So I am not sorry I got the Copperheads. They are still basically brand new and I'll be gifting them to a family member. But I love these OPMOD Diamondbacks and am really pleased with discount price over standard. Get them while they last!
