This face wash has some effective ingredients, including salicylic acid, and does a good job of cleaning without leaving my skin feeling overly dry or stripped. The downside is the fragrance—it has a medicinal scent that, as my partner put it, is “not awesome.” That said, I’d rather have a product with high-quality, non-harmful ingredients than one that simply smells nice.At the time of review, it’s priced at $20 for a 6.7 fl. oz. bottle, which isn’t great but, like the fragrance aspect, high quality ingredients sometimes have their own costs. If you prioritize effectiveness over fragrance, this is worth considering. It also features a unique locking dispensing cap that I have not seen the likes of before. It also only had an outer seal and not a secondary inner seal which can lead to leaks during shipping more easily.

I have been a loyal user of one of the main acne face washes--- for over 20 years now. It started as a commerical-- I think you could only order by phone- but now obviously it is available via the website and amazon. (Have never seen it in stores though.) Starts with a P.Anyways, a couple years ago I decided to start using products that had a lot less hazardous ingredients. And the one I used rated a 0/100 for being hazardous. So I started trying other brands that were better-- but my face did not like any of them. I was doomed to use the hazardous face wash forever.Then enter Clever Soap. I stumbled across this, and thought, why not. It rated 86/100 with only 2 low risk ingedients, the rest being 0 risk.I have been using it over a week now, morning and evening. My face has yet to reject it! With other kinds, it would only take a couple days before my face said NO. But it's been a week for this one, and it's great! No acne, white heads, or weird rashes. It does leave my face a tad dry and tight, but nothing my daily moisturizer can't fix.It is a little runny, so you have to be careful when pouring it into your hand, or else you will lose a lot of it. (my only complaint about it) It does not lather much, but gets your face very clean and smooth. The directions are a little strange-- apply then leave on for 30 seconds-- I just lather/rub for the 30 seconds.It is a little cheaper price per bottle than my "P" brand, but I don't think it will last as long. But for a product that now will replace the hazardous brand, I will definitely continue to buy this.The scent is very light-- a little soapy smelling, but fine.

I ordered the Face Wash | With Piroctone Olamine & Salicylic Acid | Hypoallergenic, 6.76 oz By Clever Soap. The product arrived with no tamper protection. There was a unique "lock" on the nozzle that I hadnt seen before. It is great that you can reactivate this locking mechanism if you are going to be traveling with this cleanser. The cleanser only filled about 80% of my bottle which is odd but there is supposed to be 6.76 ounces and I am thinking they used an 8 ounce bottle since there are no signs that the product leaked. I only mention in case future buyers are concerned that they didnt receive a "full" bottle.The cleanser is a pearly white, with the feel of a thinned cleansing lotion. There is kind of a medicinal scent. The scent is light and does not persist after rinsing the cleanser off. The use instructions for this cleanser are a little different. Apply, leave on for 30 seconds and then rinse. Because I am used to rubbing my face with cleanser, that is what I did for the 30 seconds. I am just now realizing that out of habit I wetted my face first as well. This soap will take some experimenting to figure out the correct use. lol In any case, with my wet face and rubbing for 30 seconds I had to rinse pretty well as I still felt the cleanser on my skin after what my usual rinse would be. After I felt like it was all rinsed off and I dried my face, my face felt clean but not stripped as it often can in the winter.Update! I have been using this for a minute now and experimented. I find best results when I rinse my face, apply a dime sized splotch, lather for 15- 30 seconds, let it sit for a bit while I flush my nasal passages, then rinse. Skin has mostly been clear and mostly balanced. I am trying two new targeted creams as well on areas to my face but it seems to be working well. I use once a day and rotate with other cleansers the other wash.

I received the product, but there was no tamper protection, no plastic around the top, or anything on the inside to show if someone had done anything to the product. I am not too impressed with that, as you never know. Due to this,s I can't really recommend this product since you never really know what is inside or what was done, especially for something that you are putting on your face.

This thin gel like cleanser is odd. Use it sparingly, as it pours out if you aren't careful. There is no lather, and it barely creates a foam. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The cleanser leaves my skin soft and hopefully clean.

This cleanser has a medicinal scent, and is clearish, with a thin gel-like consistency. It comes in a plastic bottle with a press to open top. The directions are to leave the cleanser on your face for 30 seconds and then rinse off. Okay. It cleans my face well and doesn't leave any film or scent behind. My face has been clear, and I look more awake than usual.This product is made in England.
