Sensory, stim, or high energy kids need this
What does my kid do over the winter months? Literally climbs the walls. This swing gives him a way to move his body safely in a smaller area. He is in it constantly doing various contortions, twists, swinging, hanging upside down or just curling up in it like a cocoon. My kid needs all that proprioceptive input and goes stir crazy without a physical outlet. This swing is a way to say enthusiastically YES. YES YOU MAY DO THAT. When my husband chose this swing, I wondered what would be different than, say, a sheet or a strap like you normally see for yoga and such. I thought a rope would be good so he could climb, but my husband saw what this swing could do before I could and he bought it. After seeing my son using it every which way, I consider this to be well worth the cost. The elastic nature of the fabric is perfect for safely cocooning my kid, gives him something to push against, and slows him down when he flips upside down. In spite of it's incredible flexibility, the fabric is also very strong and sturdy. I have no worries that he will wear it out. We are so happy he has this and he is happy to be free to move how he wants whenever he wants.

Perfect for my son
My son does occupational therapy and has a swing at his appointments. We purchased this one for home. He is very active and has sensory issues and we thought the wrapping effect and the need for gross motor skills with this swing would be perfect for him. HE LOVES IT! Sometimes we have a hard time getting him out of it to go to bed. It is very stretchy a single layer gives him enough stretch to sit with his feet on the floor. If we double the fabric, it pulls him up high enough so we can swing him. It took him about 2-3 tries to figure out how to get in it by himself. We've found options for each of his moods to fold the fabric. Sometimes he doesn't want to be wrapped in it so we let his legs hang out on each side like a horse. Sometimes he likes to be completely enveloped in it. The installation was a little difficult because we couldn't find the ceiling joists to attach it to. We have 8 foot ceilings and once we got it attached to the ceiling, he got in it. We did have to adjust the rope to pull it up off the floor a little but he figured it out pretty quick. My husband and I are too big for the swing but have longed for a swing we can use. This one is great for gross motor and muscle sensations if your kid is as active as mine. It's also goo for calming when their winding down for bed.

Great product, if u are UNDER 120lbs.
My son is 11years, 5'8" 135lbs, he has ADHD, aspergers, and anxiety. He LOVES this and is always in it. It is currently in his room and he is in it so so much, that I am going to have to buy a 2nd one for the front porch for myself and the other family members. The reason why the 4 stars is, because, it's difficult for my child to get in and out by himself, heck it's difficult for myself (5'9"&120lbs) to get kinda in, but definitely to get out is, a huge chore. Also the swing has to be placed very high up in order to prevent scrapping our bums on the floor while in this relaxing cacoon. So we have to use a step stool to get in and out and it has already caused a couple of injuries with my autistic son trying to do it by himself. So u need two people, so they can help each other in and out.I definitely recommend this for children or adults with autism, adhd, anxiety and depression. However,I think it is ment for bodies under 120lbs.So if this company will make an adult swing, I would buy that instead if the body to use it is over 120lbs.Great quality, great fun, extremely relaxing and help take stress and worry away. (for kids, teens, and tiny adults)

Amazing Quality - my daughter is so happy!
This is a wonderful therapy swing! It's a great price, the colors are beautiful and not found in other ones I looked at, and the quality is awesome! I'm a single mom and was worried about getting it up and into the ceiling without help and it couldn't have been easier which I was pleasantly surprised by. I also was concerned that we would need a lot of space which we don't have and it really fits easily into a regular sized room. My daughter has sensory issues, is on the spectrum, ADHD. anxiety and a motor skills disorder and after swinging on one of these at her OT therapists office at Rady's, we knew we had to get one. The deep pressure and comfort really help her get into a positive zone. I would definitely recommend this product and am so happy that we went for it and purchased it!

Ingnore the low reviews
I don't know what the problem is with the few people that gave this a low review. It's works as intended and its not the fault of the product if you don't have a place to hang it. It's not hard to get into. My kids use two of these and every friend they have had over can get in it fine. You can adjust the height by changing how you inot them rope. Pretty basic stuff.

Material of second swing feels very rough and coarse
I bought a second one for upstairs and it feels like a completely different product than the first. The first one purchased was very soft and smooth. Unfortunately, the second swing we received feels very rough to the touch and worse when in use. It felt almost like extra fine sand paper. It doesn't hurt but very uncomfortable.

This swing is difficult to get into swing due to it's elasticity
I purchased this swing for my granddaughter who suffers from Autism. She also has several emotional disabilities who was greatly helped when using this swing. Due to lack of space in my daughter-in-law's home makes it physically impossible to position the swing up inside of the house. Because the swing is made of such elastic-stretchy fabric it became to difficult for my granddaughter to actually utilize the swing. It is beautifully made and if they lived in a house that had more space, the swing would be great. If there was anyway I could return the swing a for a refund I would really appreciate it.K.Sakai
