Wow, what a difference!
I'm in a unique situation, in that our house is behind a hill to the nearest cell tower. When I mounted this on the apex of our roof, it was just enough to get a direct line of sight to the cell tower. The result was a jump huge from 2 bars to 5 bars on the Netgear Nighthawk 1100 mobile hotspot router and an increase of 10-20 db in signal. I'm finally testing at 25mb download and 10mb upload speeds. So I can't really comment on if this is a result of the quality of the unit versus other brands. Any brand may have had these results in this case. The installation was very simple, it's just that I hate ladders. Keep in mind you will need the special 50 ohm coaxial cable. It's a whopping 3/8" thick and the connectors at either end are 3/4" wide. That means you need to drill a huge hole in the side of your house to get it in. And you will also need the pigtail splitter-adapter to convert the single coax cable to two for the Nighthawk if you are using that one.The unit is well made. Seems weather resistant enough and has a profile that should be OK in high winds. The connections are secure. I didn't need to use their tech support, so I can't comment on that.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Exactly as advertised!
Bought two of these to replace my directional Proxicast antennae, due to not having line-of-sight to the tower (I'm not interested in building a 50 ft mast). Performance is better than ever! Installation could not have been any easier.Don't bother with these reviews complaining about the "actual" gain values. Anyone complaining about this is missing the point. You definitely get what you pay for. Real-world experience is flawless. I work from home and these are more than reliable enough for telecommuting.Proxicast has been and will continue being my go-to. Their products are excellent quality at a fair price. If you need LTE connectivity, look no further!

RV lifeline
I bought this for use with our RV. I have a Cradlepoint edge router, and this will enable me to have a better cellular data signal on the road. I also purchased a directional version of this antenna, and I'll report back on both when we get to test them out in the middle of nowhere(ish).

No Signal Improvement
I installed the antenna for use with a T-Mobile Wireless router. The router has a setting for switching to an external antenna, which I did, but the signal didn't improve at all.

It works with T-Mobile's Internet Gateway 600 Mhz Band 71
My first try was the MIMO 4G/5G Log Periodic Antenna Kit by Waveform, but the mounting an cable runs make this antenna almost impossible to install for the average home user. Next I tried the SureCall Fusion4Home Cell Phone Signal Booster With Poor results. Again a lot of wires, cables etc. to get it in place and setup. Then the SureCall FlareDB+ Cell Signal Booster 5G/4G LTE, Yagi Outdoor Antenna. Again lots of cables with poor results. And lastly I tried the Bolton Technical Crossbow 5G Directional X-Polarised 2X2 MIMO Antenna, High Gain; 617-3800 MHz. Highly directional and need line of site. Proved to bulky for the physical area I needed to mount and run the dual cables. So I now have the Proxicast High Gain 10 dBi Universal Wide-Band 4G/LTE, 5G , Has tripled my down load speeds, was easy to mount, a single cable to my T-Mobile Gateway. The only draw back is you need to order separate cable to attach you device.
