Awesome case. Very well padded on all sides
Awesome case. Very well padded on all sides. The kickstand is solid after hundred of uses. It works well with any screen protector. Just be aware that you may have to slightly modifybthe case or screen protector in some cases. The raised edge that protects the screen side fits snugly around the outer edge of the screen with a glass screen protector, this raised edge may overlap the edge of the screen protector slightly peeling it up around the edge. I easily fixed this by taking a sharp blade and shaving a bit of the rubberized edge down to allow a perfect fit with the glass screen guard. It's way simpler than it may sound and wont change the functionality of the case even if you remove the glass screen cover in the future. This is due to the snug yet rubbery grip the entire case has on the whole device. It does add some weight to the device, but its well worth the peace of mind i have carrying my tablet around my daily rugged work environment- Construction sites and in my backpack everywhere i go. Also works great with the surface keyboard. It has a little elastic strap that will hold the keyboard in place to cover the screen when not in use giving your tablet full 360° protection.

Flexibility defended: Easy to take off actually
A robust yet flexible gear for Surface Pro 3. Robust -- no need to add any words. A widely recognized fact. Flexible? Many people fail to see that, and complain it's hard to install and, more important, uninstall and make it hard for them to use the docking system. The fact is, You can install it and take it off in seconds if you do it the right way. For me, I just slide the Surface in to the right-hand side of the case first, which will take care of the upper and lower right corners. Then use your nimble fingers press the Surface into the upper and then the lower left corners. Though those rubber corners are hard and sturdy, the surrounding area of each corner is actually flexible and will yield when you slowly press the Surface into it. Press against the two sides of each corner and your machine will snap in. It won't harm or scratch your device. Reverse the procedure to take the case off. It's just that easy.I saw someone complain that his screen protector was displaced by the gear case. That only means the protector is not that secured. I recommend the Invisibleshield Glass. It really stays once getting on the Surface. It works perfectly with this case.To many people, including me, the only downside is this case sacrifices the original kickstand -- one major selling point of the device. If this is a deal breaker for you, you should buy the Moko case instead, the only one as I know that genuinely allows you to use the kickstand, although far more flimsy and not as stylish. Yet UAG makes a not bad compensation for the loss of the kickstand. The metallic stand that comes with the case has 4 adjustable nice angles and is of very high quality. It is a stand far more flexible than other average cases you can find in the market, a second best stand I would say just next to the original kickstand. If superb protection (plus great look) with outstanding flexibility is what you need, this is the one you should use.

Perfect Traveling Case
This case was exactly what I was looking for when buying protection for my new Surface Pro 3! Box lists military spec testing and it's definitely solid. It does add some weight to the device, probably an extra pound or so. It also makes it bulkier overall. However, when putting the type cover on it sits very flush with the case and I feel like the whole Surface is protected. Rubberized/textured surface of the case makes me feel like it won't slip out of my grip. The kickstand locks into 5 different positions which cover just about every angle you could want. The downside of this, however, is the kickstand does not have the same area coverage as the built-in kickstand of the Surface itself. This means it will likely be hard to balance on your lap when using the device that way. However on a table or other surface you should be able to find a position that works for you easily. There are open ports for all of the possible connections with the exception of the Mini SD card slot, which becomes locked into the case from behind. So if you want to replace that you will have to take the Surface out of the case. Port holes ring the whole side where venting is for the device, but I still think it may trap a bit of heat. I haven't put it to the test yet so we shall see how it works out.Overall, a great case and I think it will last a while. I just wish they had more colors than black and red. But that's not enough to take off a star from a great product.
