Fits great on Rock island 1911 I originally planned to keep a light on this but the grip is super comfortable and I love the feel of it, also the interchangeable plates is a nice touch to change color options, will have to trim if you have an extended for the 8rd magazine but other than that it's a perfect fit

I have tried the other cheap junk claiming to add secure rails to firearms, but THIS set-up actually works. I've outfitted four 1911 platforms with both the H & the P models. I prefer the P model myself as I like to add the Pearce Rubber Finger Molded Insert to each, & it seems to be made for those in mind. The H Model is still extremely solid though. As advertised, they'll install in around three minutes & they're extremely durable. My Olights attach just fine & haven't flown off during trigger therapy. I wouldn't trust a laser device to hold true past PB targets, but at PB it should keep you center mass. Overall, its light, comfortable & affordable, & definitely gets the job done.

These fit my Springfield Mil-Spec great. And I think it makes the pistol feel better in your hand too. It came with 2 sets of grip panels however one set was for the same side. I just painted the ones I used. I tried a Streamlight TLR7, a Surefire & a Sig Foxtrot 1. They all fit like they should have. I do wish the plastic it's made from was a little more heavier duty. I've got another of of these on another 1911 & it's held up for over 2 years. So I guess they're strong enough. I'm very happy with how it looks & feels and will probably buy one for my Glock Gen 1 17. It's very easy to mount also.

Perfect addition to your 1911 if you don't have a rail. The material is quality made. And it gives that custom look as well as functionality. Very sturdy with a light mounted to it. Light weight so no extra weight to your 1911. Great deal for great quality. Feels good in hand. And simple and fast to install.

The new version grip is much better and more ergonomic than the original, adds 0 if any extra width to the gun, solid mount for my tlr1.some reviews have said it mounts the activation switch too low, i dont seem to have an issue with it, might be a problem with smaller hands, but im good.The only complaint i have and its minimal is i wish there was more aggressive grip texture on it, its slick, this wont be an issue for me as i stipple all of my polymer handguns and just like my glock i will do this grip and make it my own. it would be nice for them to mold some texture but its easy enough to address. very happy i purchased this as my 1911 has become a safe queen at home because i prefer to run a light on a house gun.Now i will be able to utilize it for that purpose.edited: i stiplled the grip in specific areas as well as the main grip body, the polymer is easier to work with than the glock material, turned out amazing, it rubbed slightly on the slide on one side so i used a little sandpaper to clear. not an issue to me as it fit s almost all 1911 and some fitting would be needed.side note: holster selection is hard with this as its hard with any 1911 with a light, i purchased a black hawk omnivore for a tlr 1, excellent fit and retention on it and despite bad reviews on that piece, i cannot get my fingers in to the trigger well.So i hope that helps people on the fence this is a great option, just needs some stippling.(I was not paid or compensated for my review)

I just got my first 1911 commander and like a lot of this model it has no rail, so I began looking for something to satisfy that need. That's when I came across this little beauty, at first glance it looked to be a bit cheap but that is the furthest thing from the product. The lines meet pefectly they align very well and the grip is a better feel than the factory ones. They feel and ergonomics are very much what I was looking for so much in fact that a good friend of mine is now buying one for his beretta. I also noticed that once the rail was on that the set now fits my xd holster which was a great help in carry but I did order the recover holster as well so I can carry with my tlr-1 I will be sure to review that as well. But fear not 1911 aficionados it works well and the colors are a great esthetic. The colors is less of a tan and more of an fde (flat dark earth) close to the magpul but not exactly but a very good look. The polymer is strong and durable and as I said the fit is great I thought I may need to sand, file or dremel something but that is not the case. Over all a great buy!!

Awesome purchase! Fit on my chronicle 1911 perfectly…. Easy to install. Took it to the range and it felt amazing in the hand and none of the screws fell out…. Very happy with this buy
