Does anyone else have an issue with the drill in the dck299p2? one guy said bought three and they were all defective

My drill Chuck has been binding up since new. But still usable for now.. The impacts Chuck broke internally and wouldn't lock the bits in and the impact lost all speeds except for fast... I bought a new impact and it sparked and smelled like burning plastic for the first 30 minutes. Works now without an issue.will see.. I'd go with another brand,I'm a contractor and have been using DeWalt for 20+ years.DeWalt seems to have gone down hill. Not buying again next time.

Why is the p2 kit $90 more than the m2? the retail price difference between 4.0 ah and 5.0 ah battery 2 packs is only $10.

It probably had something to do with supply and demand. Right now, the difference is less than $10. It looks like the 4Ah batteries are being phased out in favor of the 5Ah.

Is the “hammerdrill” an option or is it always in hammer mode.?
