Better than expected
I picked one of these up because I needed a new mag carrier for my new M&P duty pistol - the M&P mags are fatter than Beretta mags, so my old Safariland triple pouch won't work. I am giving this one a go.So far the only thing I do not like about it - the belt attachment does not lock. Its a Tek-Lok-ish attachment, but there is no built in mechanism to lock the locking piece to keep it from opening when you don't want it to.It attaches very easily to the belt, and removes just as easily - but that's the only issue, its TOO easy to remove when you *don't* want to remove it - my solution - run a zip tie around the belt attachment to prevent unintentional release of the belt attachment. I don't want my mag pouches coming off in a fight, or popping off if they get snagged on something.The magazine carrier body itself is just fine - it holds my M&P mags well enough.If you're a security officer or new police recruit providing your own gear and you're facing budgetary constraints - its not a bad option. Is it Safariland quality? No, but its not Safariland price either. Its on par or better than Blackhawk gear, better than Uncle Mike's gear, and better than the Fobus gear I've run. Yeah, I'll probably replace it with a Safariland or SafeLife Defense triple mag carrier eventually.

Works great!
As advertised. It does require a belt though as the holder completely surrounds the belt on all sides. It won't move but it's not a slip over the belt type of mount.
