I was skeptical about buying a desk at this price point. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Desk arrived in two boxes. tabletop in one and the base in the other. The box the tabletop came in looked a little beat up and upon opening there was slight damage to one of the tabletop corners. One call to the the vendor and this issue was successfully remedied to my utmost satisfaction (Uncaged Ergonomics is a class act). Other than the slight damage (unnoticeable) to one corner the tabletop looks fantastic (dark bamboo). One person can assemble the desk and it took about 1 hour from start to finish. The desk base provides a very stable platform and went together exactly as the instructions outlined. The self tapping screws for attaching the tabletop to the base worked perfectly. Attaching the control panel and associated electronic box to the underside of the tabletop was straightforward with no issues encountered. Once assembled I would suggest getting help when moving the desk as it is a little on the heavy side (a quality sturdy product is going to be like that). Don't freak out (like I did) when you first hit the up arrow on the controller and nothing happens. Just read the instructions and reset the unit then everything will work fine. Motors are quiet, movement is smooth and memory function works great. Desk is stable at all positions. As you get to the higher positions you may notice some slight monitor vibrations when typing (heavy handed) or playing games (rapid mouse movement). I am glad that it does not have grommet holes in the tabletop as I would not have used them in my cable routing scheme. I absolutely love this desk and highly recommend it and the company (Uncaged Ergonomics).

Got a few for our office (we already have about 12 standing desks) First impressions1. Great packing job came in 2 boxes. one was the tabletop and one was the parts.2. Great directions and part separation. it took me all of 5 minutes to organize and another 10...3. Great craftsmanship - Tabletop is very nice and you can easily turn it over to secure it as to hide the company logo4. Exceptional customer service - I would add another 5 stars for this. Power unit for one item was damaged by amazon in transit and table top had a crack in it. They did not question a thing and I know these things are not cheap to ship... 1 day later I got a fedex'd table top in hand! AMAZING!Been using it now for 1 day and have zero complaints. the operation is smooth, the buttons are easy to program (and light up) the desk is sturdy even at its highest point with my dual 27inch monitors. I could not be more happy!Attached are photos of the damage to the desk I had and again it has already been replaced! Thanks Uncaged for sticking by a ROCK SOLID PRODUCT! - Do not ever change your service team (thanks for the 10% coupon for the slight inconvenience even though the replacement was more than enough!)

Only negative, you are required to drill holes in the wood desk top.

Beware assembly of the top, pilot holes need to be drilled. The screws are non-tapping I found anyway. I accidentally drilled through the top in 2 places(Wah!) but I keep a cover on the desk anyway for crafting so you cannot see. It still bugs the heck out of me as the top is gorgeous. The mechanism is silent and smooth. I am a 66 year old female and I am used to putting things together but obviously not good at judging how deep I have drilled :( . Other than the top, the rest was easy to put together. The legs are heavy but I was able to do it all myself. Fingers crossed the mechanism will last decades! I raise it and lower it all the time for sitting and standing.

Three of these desks were bought for my office (one was for me). VERY sturdy desk. We needed this size because we have two large monitors on each of our desks and this was the width we needed. There is no wiggling when you raise it up and put it down while your monitors are on it. Goes up and down very smoothly. Excellent bamboo desk surface - good quality. This really is worth every penny! If you consider what you would pay for a regular desk and then just put a separate riser on top, this standing desk is really a much better purchase - looks better and feels so much more efficient. I would definitely recommend THIS desk!

Note to buyers: this item ships with the top and base separately.. do not panic like we did when you recieve the base with no top. Wait a few days and the top will show up.This table is beautiful, high quality and easy to assemble. The only part that threw me off was screwing the base into the table top. There are no guide holes but this is for preference. It gives you the option to decide for yourself how much clearance you want on their side of the table I think the suggested 8mm but I did about an inch and it looks great.10/10 would buy again.

Tabletop is .8 of an inch (advertises as 1 inch thickness), slightly thinner than other competitors.There are no pre-drilled holes on tabletop for mounting screws, making installation harder.The supplied screws are useless. They give me tiny self-tapping screws to mount the table top to the frame? It tends to pop out if you holding the table and lift the whole thing up include the frame. I ended up ordered new set of insert bolt and screws to make the installation more proper.Functionality is good, table looks nice and stable.
