Wonderful Kitchen Tool
I have bought many of these. The mixer is wonderful for salad dressing and eggs and any light duty mixing.I give these as gifts and everyone always says how much they love them.It comes with a great little salad dressing book. Cruet is marked for no fuss measuring. After 5 or so years of using this for scrampled eggs and other things the plastic propellers broke. If I could have found a replacement part, it would have lasted for another five years.Well worth it.

Good tool
It is worth buying to use for omelets and scrambled eggs, or any thing else you need to stir up well. Not very well built two broke over the years, but still worth the money.

Just don't understand some companies
In what way can the new design be better? You now have to press down on the entire unit to get it to turn on. How is that more convenient? Who's running that company and what are they smoking/drinking/both???? This product was fantastic and now it is very annoying to use if you want to be able to get a good mix with heavier dressings etc. sigh........returned it. Thank you for ruining a great product.

Poor Re-Design
Several years ago I purchased this product and loved it. Upon a recent move I could not locate the mixer part and ordered another one. I liked it so much that I purchased one for my sister as well. I was very disappointed when I used my new one and it was not at all the same as the original one I had. They changed the way it turns on - it use to have a button that you pressed at the very top - now you have to apply pressure and push the entire handle down on the dressing bottle. This doesn't allow you to use this product on any other container except the one it comes with. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the stem doesn't reach the bottom of the salad dressing bottle so it can't stir up the seasonings that fall below it. The old one was longer! I called BonJour and was told that, yes, they did re-design the product. Needless to say this is now a useless product and returned them. Bonjour, contact me if you go back to the original design and I will buy them again. What made you change it in the first place????

Switch is in poor location.
This product functioned OK if you use the carafe, but if you want to use it without the carafe, the switch is in an awkward position. I returned this and exchanged for the Paula Deen version which is very similar except the switch is on the end, making it easy to use without the carafe.

Excellent Product
This is our second BonJour Chef Salad Dressing Maker. The first one I put in the dishwasher after it was dropped. I believe the dropping caused a hairline crack, which did not become apparent until it was placed in the dishwasher. Other than the need for hand washing it, it is a great product. The recipes on the side of the carafe are really great. You can control the ingredients to enable a final salad dressing that is tasty and healthy. The mixer allows you to totally combine the ingredients. I am really pleased with this product, so happy I sent one to my brother and sister-in-law.

Good for the most part...
I read the previous reviews on this product before buying it. I have only used it a couple of times, but generally I like the product. It's what I was looking for, mostly for the cruet that can be kept in the fridge. There seemed the be some concern with other buyers about the storage lid not being secure enough, but it works well. I've used it to make the dressing then transport it over for a dinner party, and it worked great. I do agree with the complaints about how the device operates. It is difficult to move the blades around while you are mixing, in order to get to the bottom to churn everything up. It sounds as though the previous model had the control up top, which seems like it would work better. All in all, for the price, I am happy with my purchase.

Lid broke
Yet another salad dressing mixer that broke within a few months of use. This time the lid cracked rendering it useful for only one use because without the lid it would be difficult to store in fridge.
