These are simply the best speakers i ever bought. Super easy to install, they didn't cost a arm and a leg and they sound great.

Excellent value
Bought these to replace blown Alpine SPR 69. What an upgrade and value. I have an Alpine 500w pre amp and Pioneer Sub Woofer and this combo blows out the windows! Very pleased and as these were replacements for 6x9" pair they dropped right in place on back deck of my vintage 1980 MBZ 450 SL , even sound great with my original dash speakers. Can't say enough positive about them.

Very well put together, so neutral & well balanced with amazing expensive sounding bass! Love it!I think this speaker will appeal to all listeners no matter what they listen to.I paired it with 4 sony 6.5 XB speakers & a Sony DSX-GS80 Head unit that runs the whole system well without an amplifier.

Great speaker. Hits hard and sounds clear.
I bought a pair of these speakers and optional speaker grills. I put them in a 91 Toyota corolla so I had to custom fabricate a place to put them in. 4/5 stars on ease of installation because it took me a few tries to get them to mate with the grills and the little spacer that was provided. I figured it out and they work great. They don't need an amp and sound amazing. They are combined with some 4in round speakers in the front and the pairing rocks my little car.

Massive upgrade from factory. Very Hard to beat at this price level.
Huge upgrade from my factory speakers (obviously). I went with Alpine because they are known for focusing on sound quality in their products, and these do NOT disappoint!I was an installer in the automotive audio industry for a while and I've heard every brand and setup imaginable. In the low to mid-level range it will be very difficult to do better than these Type S Alpines. Excellent clarity and a great balance of tones.
