FrSky Taranis Compatible six position switch 2.4ghz

I installed this in my Taranis and while the fit works great and it has 6 "clicks", the transmitter only sees 4 positions. Positions 3,4,5 all display the same input and then jump as soon as I click up to the 6th position. I've performed the calibration multiple times with the same result. The feel of the switch is also pretty sloppy. I'll be looking for a slightly higher quality 6-position encoder to replace this one.

Installed in an Taranis x9d transmitter. Instructions for how to connect to the circuit board and calibrate were obtained from RCGroups. Works well.Now: you will need some basic tools and soldering skills to install this switch.

No issues installed, looks and feels right.For the jumping issue, add a .5 second delay on that channel, it will be smooth.

Electrically it works ok, but you can tell this is a cheap selector switch: transitions between detents isn't smooth at all, and the detents themselves are not very solid/positive. Best layman's description would be "mushy" and "not very clicky". I'm not likely to install as a result of this.

I went to solder on the signal wire and the plating compound just easily melted away. No, my solder was too hot.

it has a jump in the signal when changing not always a fluid motion.Caused my Return To Launch fail safe to get activated sometimes when switching between points

Switch worked for 8 months before internally slipping positions giving me flight modes I didn't want at the time. I don't fly too much either. Will look for a real FrSky switch, not "compatible" next time.
