It take me couple tries for the orb to stay in place. I found the easiest way to place it in the correct position is to hold the speaker with two hand, shift and tilt it a little at a time. You will feel the sweet spot. Otherwise the magnet will suck the speaker to it's base.Once it is floating. Softly press the power button the Disco light show starts and you will find the Bluetooth device "SC-26" with your player.Pro:-Amazing futuristic look (reminds me of BB-8).-Loud volume-Nice glossy black finish. Base is very stable.-Fool proof Bluetooth connection. The simplest and most stable Bluetooth connection I have ever had so far.Con:-The base and the speaker light does not sync, you need to change the color manually-Hard landing the if speaker tipped over-Sound quality is fine but not outstanding-Mono sound outputConclusion:I bought this speaker for my bedroom playing news and audiobook. It is perfect for that purpose. I will say it is not for serious lossless music or hi-fi lover, and it is not it intended. However it is good for sci-fi lovers though. It has the Cyber look that my kids told me we are living in the future.

The magnetic base plugs in and you steady the speaker over it that connects using Bluetooth to your phone or other device. It changes colors and bottom and top while it spins. Last but not least, the sound quality is AMAZING! I turned it on full force and heard it throughout my house many rooms away.Update: After awhile, the plastic around the mini disco ball breaks easily

Sound is ok, LED lights are ok but let's face it the reason you by this is that it looks cool floating above the base ! I've spent 5hrs. On and off now and can't get the dam thing to float above the base it pushed the speaker to one side or the other side of the base no matter how slowly I hold it above the very center of the base as shown in the instructions. What it is you have a magnet on each piece and your trying to get dead center of each other so that the two push away from each other and stay there in the same place. Good luck with that what I have is a Bluetooth speaker that I payed way way to much money for. Not sure what to do with it if it don't float then it's a total waste of your $ cause as a speaker it's sound is no we're worth the money ! One could by a real nice kick ass Bluetooth speaker for that amount of money.

I searched for "levitating bluetooth speaker" on Amazon and this was recommended to me. It is about 40% cheaper compared to the much more popular ICE brand which is top-reviewed among levitating speakers on several website. Initially I worried that this cheaper one may have compromised sound quality. However it turned out to be not a problem at all. The sound is very enjoyable and the volume is big enough. Both the speaker ball and the base had build-in flash lights and the entire set is very stylishly looking. (The speaker ball is smaller than the ICE one and personally I find it look better sitting on my computer desk.)The only thing I find inconvenient is that I have to unplug the base and connect the speaker ball to the power-socket via a USB line whenever I need to charge it (I seems to have to charge it every 2 or 3 days), since the base doesn't have a USB charging socket like the ICE one.

No problem setting it up, just make sure all your plugs are plugged in Completely, otherwise the sphere may jump off its centered levitating point.Sound quality is just ok.Anyway this is a good gift. Was excited to give this levitating Speaker to my wife for her office desk. We received the product, and it looks great. However, after watching her for 15 mins following instructions and get frustrated at trying to get the speaker to center on levitation magnets unsuccessfully. Then I decided to complete the task for her. I worked on getting the speaker to center magnet levitate for an hour. Even went online for better instructions and videos for process for success. This device never would center and always magnetized to main base every time.Sending this item back, due to daily difficulty of getting this speaker to levitate successfully.

This speaker's sound is terrible. No Base at all. The spinning MAGNETIC ball does not work. We have tried all sorts of ways to get it to work. We even watched you tube videos to work out how to work it and no matter what it does not work. Also being shipped to Australia there was no description about the power adapter not compatible in Australia. Do not waste your money on this inferior product. All looks and no substance.

This was a great success as a Christmas present, and still working great and giving joy.
