Great introduction to LEGO Technic range
For the past year or so I have been sharing my hobby of LEGO building with my nephew now 10yrs old, and we have built sets both aimed at younger and more mature builders. He has both watched and helped with with the more advanced LEGO Technic sets I have built and been fascinated by the technical side which includes building gear systems, moving parts and more advanced sets so I felt and was confident it was time to help him with his own and this was the perfect entry Technic Set for him to work on, with some supervision. This is a really fun set to make and a brilliant example of how LEGO can be educational and fun. This dump truck whilst not big, was still a fun challenge for my nephew, who was able to follow the excellent pictorial instructions and learned to be patient and precise when putting together the frame of the vehicle including the axels for the moving wheels to constructing the body of the truck itself. As I said, it proved to be a challenge due to the more technical side but it was not overwhelming with only some minimal guidance needed by myself as supervisor of the build. Overall, this is another level of LEGO building and one that teaches the basics and foundation of engineering, gear systems in a way that is fun, educational and rewarding. An excellent set.

Building fun.
The build process is straightforward, the instructions are clear. The moving parts function smoothly, and the steering mechanism adds a layer of interactivity. It's robust enough to withstand some rough play. The tipping function works as expected, providing a satisfying action. The size is decent, and it’s not too fiddly to handle. It occupied my time, and the mechanical aspects held my interest.

Great Lego truck
My nephew is going to love this Lego truck it will take him a wee while to finish it as there's 462 pieces and also once built you can move the wheels with the steering wheel and he will be able to tip the back, it's actually great that there's moving parts and there's stickers also, and it's for 9+ year olds the only thing I would say is the price is a bit expensive but it is Lego but I still would recommend will make a great gift

Lego is great fun
I have not constructed for some time, but have remained steadily impressed by the sheet diversity of what is available now. Lego, the only bricks we had as kids, has changed since I was young and the technicality of builds is great. This seems no exception and I did get this for my grandson to pay with (I will glue as I go). For those who need a bit more help building, just put 42203 into the Lego Builder app and it literally says 'start building'. Great app for those who sometimes cannot master the pictures, or cannot 'see' what needs doing where. Not yet built, but WIP and happy with what I have achieved so far.

Great for the younger gifted child
Opening to your standard lego sets, good set of instructions, sets seperated and to the classic lego build of solid bricks everything was good to go. They're rather insistent to use their app and after giving it a trial run i can see why. Its very detailed explaining not only where to put the piece but with an animation etc and steps to skip to get to where you were. The units not completed yet but it has a great range of movement like the tilt function on the back and while it looks a little out of place theres a grip ring piece on the top that controls the wheels for steering.

A great set for older children
This is a great lego Technic set for kids aged 8+. It features a dumper truck - which can be built and then played with. It moves on its wheels, has a push button for opening the lid and opening cab doors. The build quality of the pieces is excellent and once completed makes a great toy vehicle. Our 8 year old is obsessed. Although not the cheapest, Lego sets hold their value due to their superior quality. There are printed instructions but you also have the option of using the app QR code to view online. Would highly recommend.
