High quality and durability materials
The media could not be loaded. I collect knifes and swords, right out of the box I got extremely excited about the feel of this machete. I had my last camping sword for 8 years before it finally broke. I haven’t even used this thing yet but I can tell you right now this is going to last me a good 20+ years as it is very high quality and thick! The weight is perfectly balanced, I am ridiculously excited to use it- which guys, I am very hard to please with material items. I don’t think most manufacturers and designers make products that are built to last. But this one most certainly is.The case we will have to see about as it goes through the test of time, I’m assuming at some point the machete will outlive it and I will need to replace with leather or something. Which is fine with me. It seems very sturdy and like it will last for at least 10 years. I am not sure what kind of plastic it is, it seems like it is not prone to cracking. It holds the machete well, ignore reviews saying it is flimsy. There is a bit more room towards the bottom of the sheath but I believe that is for draw purposes. It still holds it in place securely without rattling. I would be shocked if I encountered any issues with it in the first 5 years. I do not think it is overbuilt, I love how many modes of attachment there are. A true backwoods wilderness/ jungle piece of gear. Note that you may need to sharpen it up a bit, the edge looks great, just could be a hair sharper, but no problem for me.Only complaint I have is that there is a bit of “plastic dust” on the blade after drawing. It would be nice if there was some sort of other material in the sheath where the blade edge runs so that it’s not creating those little shavings. Not a fan of creating more micro plastic pollution, even in such a trace amount. But that will only really bother you if you over analyze everything as I do lol. Overall it’s a 5 star product. I couldn’t be more excited about it, again which is very rare for me to be so pleased with an item.

Unprotected point in the box
First, “C A U T I O N” ! ! !It should be printed, in bold, that there is an unprotected blade point, inside the box unless you consider crumpled wrapping paper and a paper thin piece of plastic, protection from this incredible blade.I reached in to remove the wrapping paper when my ring finger tip met the blade tip. For your personal safety, open the box on one end then turn it upside down and shake the contents out.Prepare to be thrilled. This machete has no equal among machetes. It is, honestly, second to none.If I could afford one for each of my twenty two grandchildren I would create a, trail clearing, Samurai army with those over sixteen.I must annually cut my way through alders, devil’s club and other formidable brush in the Alaskan bush to retrieve my quarry, one load at a time. A Yukon moose or even a large bou or bear are not one trip and out endeavors. This fine blade was custom made for the task. I extend my admiration, appreciation and recognition to the fine craftsman. You are truly a blade master!

Taking saplings and weeds to Ninja Town
Is there a cooler machete? I think not. Doing actual work with it is fine but you notice that it is quite blade heavy- it's a surprisingly thick blade. This wouldn't be so big a deal but the dimensions in the grip area are a little off. It looks great but when you're swinging it feels kind of small at the front. If you move your grip to the back it gets a little unwieldy for actual machete use. I wrapped it in baseball bat grip tape and that made it awesome even if not quite as cool looking. However know that when you do this it doesn't slide into the sheath quite as neatly- just at the top from the thickness of the extra grip. Overall I still love it. I look forward to having more fun with it and getting more actual use out of it.

Not worth the money
Not very sharp for the price and handle is weirdly shaped making it uncomfortable to use

Returned due to pitting of the blade
Looks and feels great but I returned it because right at the tip of the blade it had carbon pitting. For the price in my opinion it should be flawless. I did end up buying another product from this brand and it was up to my standards.

Swordchete
Fricken Awesomeness!!! It's way heavier than it looks. $200 is a lot but this thing is worth it and intimidating.

A sword you can actually use
On top of being super cool, sharp, and effective, this thing is a great way to have a sword that you can really play with. Since it's technically a machete, slicing limbs is well within its capabilities and a fun way to feel like a warrior.
