Caiza to the rescue!!!
Worked great at cleaning the insides of my Mr. Coffee espresso maker, Model ECM250. I originally obtained the machine from someone who previously owned it. (OK, I admit it, I got it from a thrift shop for practically nothing!) Unfortunately, I discovered an unpleasant odor emanating from inside the water reservoir, which I had not noticed (sniffed for) prior to purchase; and which I now also tasted in the first batch of coffee I brewed (which was after running tons of fresh water through the unit). So then I carefully--–-S-L-O-W-L-Y–---ran five flushes of common Distilled White Vinegar (5%) through the machine. But that barely put a dent in the odor/taste problem. Finally, out of desperation, I ordered and tried this Cafiza product; running it through the machine six full times. [NOTE: Some people recommended NOT doing that with the product. But now I felt I had no choice---it was either use the Cafiza or loft my Mr. Coffee machine in the direction of the nearest dumpster.] Well, the Cafiza worked great. And contrary to what one person wrote, I did not taste even a hint of Cafiza in the coffee (or the hot water) after using it. Maybe it was due to the many fresh-water flushes I ran through the machine following all the Cafiza cleanings?Cafiza is a wonderful product. I highly recommend it. Also, the product arrived on time from Amazon and was packaged and protected to perfection.

Amazing how much gross residue this removed from my coffee maker!
Got this 2 pack Cafiza because it is more economical (25% cheaper) than single-pack. Didn't know what to expect but since there is no way I can access the internal parts of my coffee maker (Bosch Tassimo T65), I just had to find something to clean it.I usually run a cycle of cleaning using just tap water and the resulting output looks clean. I thought my machine was cleaned until I tried this. This product actually purged plenty of gross residues out of my machine. Now I know regular cleaning with tap water (even if it's hot) is not comparable to what this cleaner can do! This economical size is so much cheaper than those sold in 1 Oz packet.

Extremely difficult to find out what is in this. Cannot Be Used with Aluminum!
I thought I'd done my homework that reported this only contained Sodium Carbonate - however upon arrival I could not confirm that, so went looking again on-line. I found warnings that Cafiza Powder will Corrode Aluminum, and as the boiler in most coffee machines is Aluminum I Cannot Use This. Finally after searching for material safety data sheets (MSDS) for this product revealed its contains Sodium percarbonate, Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, Alcohols, C9-11, ethoxylated and Sodium hydroxide. Then I looked at Urnex Tabz (F61) which contain Disodium carbonate, Sodium percarbonate, Sodium metasilicate and Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, and although no Sodium Hydroxide Joe Bean says "Use with glass or stainless steel coffee pots. Not recommended for aluminum". So - I'm back to just plain Sodium Carbonate = Washing Soda at $0.10 per oz (instead of paying for cleaners reported to brew right at $1.62 per oz). Then I went to CalPacLab (Check the chemical compatibility of Aluminum with various chemicals, solvents, alcohols and other products) where it lists Sodium Carbonate as having a "D" SEVERE effect on Aluminum. Citric Acid - listed as "C" Fair. WHAT is a poor boy to do?? I think I'll try 1 Tsp Citric Acid in 1.5 qt water first. IF that doesn't work - I'll have to go back to sodium carbonate and cross my fingers.
