I don't know how long it sat in warehouses or distribution prior to me ordering it in May of 2023, but mine indicates a best by 8/27/2024 date. I do not see a date of manufacture, but based upon my order timing the shelf life is at least one year and three months, likely more.

Q: How much does it make ?

It's hard to say... depending on if you are using it for soup, sauce or a dip. The "serves 37" is misleading because that is for ONE tablespoon and I don't know anyone who only will eat ONE tablespoon of Alfredo sauce/soup/dip. I do know it is handy to keep on hand for last minute meal planning. I will be buying more when this is gone.... it is that good and that easy!!

Probably better used as a powder. The mix is designed to be used as a sauce made with water and from my experience, even the water/milk solids left when melting butter make for soggy popcorn.

Q: How many 1/3 cup portions are there in the 12 Oz jar?

The label says 42 1 tablespoon servings per container. But it makes soup base, sauce or dip with differing amounts of powder and water for each. So the number of 1/3 cup servings per container would depend on what you are making and how thick you make it.
