Urban Cycling Apparel The Single Tracker-Mountain Bike Cargo Shorts, with G-Tex Padded Undershorts

Meh. Cue buyer's remorse with these biker shorts. If I didn't sweat in them already, they'd be on their way back to Amazon. :(• First of all, like the other shorts that I bought from Urban Cycling Apparel, they fit SMALLER than advertised. I fit into a size 36 comfortably, and went with the XL a bit nervous that they'd be too loose (with a fitting range of 36-38 size waist). Nope, they were a snug fit and didn't give much wiggle room either.• Second, I didn't care for the material — both the padded undershorts and the actual shorts themselves. The removable padded lining was more reminiscent of cheap fitness wear and the outer shorts gave me flashbacks of parachute pants from the 80s...but as shorts. PLUS, the pictures on Amazon showed a matte finish on the fabric, but it was definitely NOT a matte finish. They were down-right shiny. Also, while the outer layer seemed durable, the inner layer didn't seem like it'd last me that long with a whole season of commuting. The fabric on the lining was thin (to a fault) and seemed like an inadequate attempt to create a lining between the shorts and your skin.• Third, the pockets were awkward and didn't feel useful to me, largely because of the snug fit. I would have preferred a much looser fit cargo style short. I don't think I'd want to keep anything in the pockets simply because the shorts were so tight-fitting.• Lastly the padding isn't that great, in fact it's really flimsy. When stacked up against all my other biker shorts (name-brand biking shorts that I paid between $50-100 for), the padding was extremely squishy and didn't supply much support or padding for the goods. If you ask me, you're much better off paying the extra $25-50 for some shorts that will give you adequate support and protection for those longer rides.Like I said in my other review, I really hate posting bad reviews on products — but the minute I pulled them out of the plastic bags and even tried them on, I was filled with buyer's remorse. You may like these, but they were a strike-out for me. They weren't "loose-fit", the material and construction didn't feel like it would last very long, and they just screamed parachute pant-shorts.

I've ridden with these shorts about 4 times now and they are my go to shorts (sorry Fox you stuff is too fragile). The highlights for me was finding a pair of shorts with a belt loop; I like having a belt on riding shorts so my ass isn't hanging out all the time (you know who you are). They also have plenty of pockets (with zippers) to keep your stuff secure. The 2 front pockets are ultra deep which mean nothing's slipping out. There are two velcro straps on the legs if you need to cinch them down for some reason (I haven't found a reason yet). I bought the option with the included liner... It's good enough for my purposes (12-15 mile mountain bike rides). I'm planning on getting a second pair.

First of all these shorts are well made. Heavy duty seat should last a long time. Liner seems nice also. All good until you try them on. BUT.....there's always a but....they are soooo long. Stupidly long. Like hanging way below my knees. I even considered getting them hemmed. But it would be like at least 3 inches of material hemmed to get these to the correct length where they would hit my knees. So other than a weird fit they are not bad! I returned them.

I *loved* these shorts... UNTIL I started to LOSE anything I put in the zippered pockets!The last thing I lost was my ATM card provoking me to write a review of WARNING/CAUTION regarding these shorts.The seams of the MESH pockets along both zippered pockets STARTED TO TEAR (see pictures).I presume this is because MESH material (holes in it) doesn't sew very well and is not strong.I would unzip the pocket, and put my iPhone7+ in there .... and it would FALL STRAIGHT through my shorts TO THE GROUND.People behind me would see cash, keys, etc... FALL RIGHT OUT OF MY SHORTS!I've only had these shorts for 6 months (bought in April 2017). I don't abuse them (heavy exercise, over-washing, stretching, biking).I actually REALLY REALLY like them and the fact that the ZIPPERED pockets make me feel safe that I WON'T LOSE important things while walking, running , and especially biking (which I haven't done much lately).So anyone owning or buying this should BE AWARE of potential tearing of the pocket lining.REPAIR IS POSSIBLE: I had a seamstress (my mom ;) sew the pockets back onto the lining of the zipper so I could wear these again.

I bought these cargo shorts as a solution to ripping regular shorts when getting on and off of a bike. I wore them a total of 5 times and have already ripped almost the ENTIRE seem that goes up and down the crotch off of the shorts!!!

Kind of mixed feelings. As a big and tall rider options are more limited so I was stoked when I saw the size range available. There are some things to like. All of the pockets are biker specific. Nice zippered pockets. The unzippered pockets are in a way that don't pinch. These are purpose built riding shorts. This isn't just some rebranded athletic short.The liners is actually really nice and was more comfortable than a brand name chamois I have.So why 3 star. The fit is ridiculous. I ordered what I normally would in street clothes size. I am 6'5" and 300lbs and the 3xl made me feel like I was a little kid trying on dad's clothes. Riding clothes rarely run but I could probably wear them at 400lbs. They are a full like 6" past my knee standing.All in they seem decent but I won't order another pair from them until I can work out the sizing.

These shorts have a really cool look to them with the black and red stitching. I am 175 lb male and i bought a size large and they fit good right now. The waist band is stretchy but i couldn't gain too much weight or they would be too tight. The material that shorts are made of is what they call cordura and is a waterproof type wicking material. The seat area is stitched with a more durable type of matl. for longer seat wear. I'm still not sure if i like the shiny look the matl. has, and you really cannot tell from the pics at Amazon. Overall these shorts look cool and perform great.

Creo que es una buena compra, está quizá 1 ó 2 pulgadas más largo de lo que esperaba (llega hasta las rodillas), es cómodo. Solo lo he usado en una rodada de 23k sin problemas

Me gustó mucho el short y el interior con badana también muy buen material y muy cómodo la verdad es una buena marca, pienso comprar otro.
