Power Connection is Poor
This has poor build quality, but was able to work around that issue. There is a connection problem in mine. It would not power on despite being well plugged in. I jiggled the cord attachment to the unit and it powered on. It seems there is an internal connection that is loose.I nearly returned it, but as long as I have the cord positioned well and don't move the cord, then it works.it is not particularly effective at stirring anything viscous, and I wish it had a slower stir setting. it it takes a long time to heat up a thing, I think due to the slightly convex shape of the hot plate - it doesn't make the best contact with the beaker bottom surface.all that being said, it was a helpful setup with the stand, that enabled me to monitor the temperature of my solution
