Best mat I’ve ever used!
We have never been failed by these mats. They are perfect. They are soft, waterproof, I love all the color options! My guinea pigs prefer these mats over anything else we have. I was surprised by how amazing the quality of the mat itself is.

A great investment -for you and your pigs - that pays for itself over time
GuineDad fleece bedding is expensive upfront, but you are getting what you pay for. After almost a year of using this for my guinea pigs, I continue to be quite satisfied that I made the choice for high-quality fleece instead of bedding. The fabric absorbs moisture pretty well and keeps my pigs' feet dry. It's also soft as they walk on it, and they seem to enjoy the comfort that brings as they scamper about their cage.I bought the kind with the pocket - which is a cool idea and loved by my pigs, but they spent a little too much time pooping under there, and I'm wary about whether that's really the most hygenic thing for them. So I just told it underneath when I put the fleece in the pigs' cage. The downside of fleece is that it means more trips using the washing machine, but it's a small price to pay for saving money you'd spend continually buying bedding. So yes, you will pay a lot upfront, but over time this pays for itself compared to using traditional bedding. Just use cold water and the bedding cycle on your machine, and either air dry like I do (so guinea hair doesn't get in the dryer) or tumble dry with no heat and then finish air drying.Overall, GuineaDad fleece is great. Saves me money over it's lifespan, and gives my pigs great comfort for the living quarters.

The only guinea pig bedding you'll ever need to buy
I've been using my GuineaDad 2.0 fleece liners for about a month now, and I'm very impressed. I've tried paper bedding, puppy pads, fleece blankets with Uhaul furniture blankets underneath, and all of them had some terrible flaw. Paper bedding is very wasteful and expensive and not particularly easy to keep clean. Puppy pads are extremely dangerous since guinea pigs love to chew them and end up with impactions. Fleece blankets and furniture pads have to be cut to fit the cage (otherwise you have to deal with a lumpy, misshapen folded blanket), they may not be absorbent if not prepared correctly, and vacuums suck up the fleece. It took some courage to take the plunge with GuineaDad, since it is a significant financial investment upfront, but it is so worth it.The liners are designed to fit my Midwest cage; they're a little bit bigger, to allow for possible shrinkage from washing/drying, which I appreciate. As soon as you take the liner out of the box you can tell that it's a well made, high quality product. The liners are so thick and plush, perfect for delicate little pig feet, with a waterproof bottom to keep urine from soaking through and soiling the cage itself. One end of the liner has a fleece pocket for pigs to burrow under, which brings me to another point: My pigs don't burrow under these blankets! When I used regular fleece blankets, the pigs would always tunnel underneath, push them all over the place, and leave a big poopy mess. The combination of the fleece pocket, the thickness and heaviness of the liner, and the way it fits the cage perfectly and sits flush without gaps means that pigs are much less inclined to burrow. The fleece pocket is prone to getting sucked up by vacuums, but it's easy to just lift the end of the blanket up and shake or brush debris onto the quilted part, where you can easily vacuum it up. If your pigs aren't interested in the pocket then you can also just fold it inside out so that it sits underneath the waterproof liner and reveals the quilted part underneath. The heaviness of the quilted liner means you'll have no issue going over it with a cordless vacuum, which makes cleanup incredibly easy.Smell is non-existent with these. They are super absorbent and wick urine down inside the liner; I've never noticed any wet spots. If you have older or sickly pigs who absolutely need to be dry, these would be perfect.I have three guinea pigs, in two Midwest cages. I have two sets of two GuineaDad liners so that I will always have a clean set waiting at any time; instead of having to wait for them to be washed, I can just take the dirty one out, pop a clean one in, and do the laundry at my leisure. I pick up their poop by hand every day, multiple times a day, and clean up food debris with a tiny broom/dust pan set and a cordless vacuum as needed. I machine wash and dry the GuineaDad liners once a week. It's that simple. No other bedding option has been this easy to manage, and it's fantastic not having the ongoing costs of disposable bedding. As far as negatives, I will say that I don't like having to wash them in cold water to avoid shrinkage. As you probably know, guinea pig bedding has the potential to get absolutely disgusting if daily spot cleanings aren't done, and it's instinctive to want to throw the bedding in the washer with very hot water and a cup full of bleach. With cold water, sometimes there can be stuck-on bits of boar glue or other mysterious substances left on the blanket after washing, so it's worth checking the blanket over beforehand and pre-treating with stain remover or just giving the spots a quick scrub with laundry detergent before putting them in the machine. If they ever come out with a GuineaDad liner that can be washed in hot water and bleach, I will find some way to give it 6 stars. But for the most part it's not really an issue to wash them in cold water, and they dry just fine on the low setting too (though I think I will start air-drying mine to protect my investment here). So far, after almost a month of usage and several washings, my liners are not showing any wear. I will update this review if any issues arise.I am not a shill, and I paid full price for all four of the liners I purchased so my review is absolutely not biased. I have really struggled with keeping my cages clean in the past and dealing with bedding options that just didn't work. These liners make it so much easier, and you can tell that they were designed by someone who actually owns guinea pigs and knows exactly what we need from our bedding. Seeing how happy my pigs are in a neat, tidy, clean, dry, and smell-free cage is worth every single penny I paid for my GuineaDad liners.

These liners are 100% worth every penny!
I have literally never written a product review but I decided I really had to for this product. First of all I have tried many different bedding solutions for my two guinea pigs, Bert and Ernie. I’ve tried towels, fleece wrapped around towels, giant safety pins to attach the towels to the fleece, uhaul furniture pads with fleece fabric glued around them-you see where I’m going with this. I’ve tried a lot of things. I would always have the same issues. Bert and Ernie would go under the towels or between the towels/uhaul pads and the fleece which means there would be poops all between the layers. It was such a pain in the ass to switch the bedding out because I’d have to take the layers out separately to account for all the poops and they’d just fall everywhere plus they were peeing all over the cage liner under the bedding which was another issue that made cleaning the cage difficult. I’d been eyeballing these liners for a while but I couldn’t make myself spend the money. Well I finally decided my daily frustration was enough to warrant spending over $100 to get two of these liners. It is so obvious that someone who has and loves guinea pigs conceived of this product. They address every issue. The fleece is great at wicking liquid away. The quilting means there’s no shifting of the absorbent material inside. The pouch/pocket!!! This is key! With the old bedding even when they would have their little houses to hide in Bert and Ernie would still burrow under the bedding. Now they just go hide in the pocket and never try to burrow under. These liners are such good quality. There’s not a single loose thread, the bottom backing layer is great at keeping wetness off the cage liner, and it’s very thick and absorbent and comfy. I have washed and dried these many times over and there’s been no deterioration in quality. I ended up buying two more so I have 4 in my stockpile now! Yes I spent over $200 on guinea pig bedding and you know what it was worth every penny. This is super long but I just wanted to detail all the problems that these liners solve. I’ll definitely add to my stockpile as I have the money. Thanks so much to the creators of this product for making one part of my life so much easier!
