Very good taste, not very spicy but just right.
I wish I new about this product earlier. I found out about it after I search the recipe for hot braised shrimp. But also it can be used on many different things where a little spice is needed or wanted. Best on scrambled eggs, or avocado toast.

Delicious, versatile and great value for the amount provided
Was on the hunt for this chili paste style of hot sauce and finally asked my favorite local Turkish restaurant what they use. The owner was kind enough to take a photo of the bottle in the kitchen that they pour into smaller bottles. Now I've got it at home! Heat level is perfect, some good kick but not too much. A little goes a long way so this 2 pack is great value for the amount of sauce provided. This stuff is versatile, I'm still trying it on all sorts of foods and have rediscovered my love for eggs as a protein source with this stuff!

Fantastic on scrambled eggs
Ordered this through amazon fresh. Wish it was sold in a larger size. These are just too small for how often I would love to use it. Decided to try it in some scrambled eggs I made and dont want scrambled eggs any other way. I was never a fan of scrambled eggs to begin with. My boyfriend does so I make it often for him but skip out on eating. This though finally adds flavor. Even when I add in fresh garlic, bell peppers and onions to the scrambled eggs, the flavor of eggs always just overpowered anything ever add to it for me. This makes it pop

Awesome Sauce!
It's Great. When I can find it locally the price is about the same, but I can't consistently find it locally, so I'll continue to order it here on Amazon...

The best!
Simple ingredients, but just so tasty. Not terribly hot. Mix it with everything.

A True Blue ANYTHING Chili Sauce.
This is hands down the best all-purpose chili sauce/paste I've ever tried, bar none.I'm a spice freak and since the ingredients are so simple and not too heavy on the vinegar it leaves a refreshing and bright and fresh flavor. I love Hoy Fong foods and their dedication to quality and fair prices shines bright in this product and I like it more than Sriracha, personally. So far I find that it goes in ANYTHING that goes well with any kind of pepper sauce.I put it in pho, curry, korean jjigaes, salsa, gumbo, eggs, chili and is my personal favorite topping for plain ol' tacos and burritos (it even kind of elevates the flavor of the more garbage soggy fast food ones to a point that I mostly don't bother with the restaurant sauce packets if I'm bringing them home). I really mean it when I say ANYTHING.People were talking about broken seals on theirs and I have a theory that it's just because of shipping. I didn't have a problem with this particular product, but sometimes air pressure and temperature can mess with seals, it's happened to me on different sauce products. I implore you, if you love spicy sauces and want something a little fresh and bright in flavor, seek this out somewhere! A lot of grocery stores, even in the rural Midwest here carry it or the one with garlic. You won't regret buying it.(Also, it holds up really well in the fridge!)

Wonderful stuff, terrible packaging
I love this sauce but I hate the packaging. For the most recent two jar shipment, both jars had broken lids. It's a fact of life that at least one of the two jars will have a broken lid. I've learned not to throw away any good lid when I finish a jar--I'm likely to need it for the next batch.I'm a little mystified why the Los Angeles area maker of the product would use such sub-standard jars and lids for such a wonderful product. Maybe it's because the packaging is light in weight and costs less to ship. Or maybe they want to give it that genuine Asian character with what appears to be cheaply made packaging. Either way, they're doing themselves and their customers a real disservice. Not only are the lids made of thin, delicate plastic, they also do not easily fit back on the top of the jars. Getting one of the lids to drop down into the grooves on a jar's top often requires Rubik's cube-like moves to find the happy spot where the two pieces fit together. Anyone who has replaced the lid on a glass pickle jar knows how easily the top drops into place, needing only a quarter-turn to seat and seal it. You can almost throw the lid at a pickle jar and the two will mesh, so we know it's not rocket science to make a lid that fits easily on a jar. And heaven help the person who decides to shake a jar of sauce that they only think has the lid securely fastened. Will I quit buying the Sambal Oelek sauce? Not a chance! But every jar will again make me wonder why they don't solve a very correctable problem.Update: Just got two more jars and, again, both have broken, unusable lids.
