This is a high quality pcp air filter & water separator! I have been searching for a high quality, well designed water separator air filter for my very expensive pcp airguns and based upon the YouTube video review, i bought this one. One major design difference from other filters is this one collects that last 5% of moisture escaping your compressor which is then removed via a bleed screw after each use and therefore, eliminating any moisture into your favorite pcp airgun…SWEET! It is robust, works very well and the included magnets makes it super easy to mount to my compressor without drilling holes! It uses a cartridge, charcoal & double felt filter which is easy to change, and i also received same-day email response from the manufacturer so it appears that there is great product support! I shoot an AirForce Texan .457 LSS and a AirForce Condor 25 cal SS. I was not getting what I needed out of my long tube filter with cotton wads, desiccant, and activated charcoal there was moisture getting through. I purchased a 3.0 L tank to fill my air guns. Again moisture was gettin into tank. I finally purchased a GX water separator and was expecting it to keep the moisture out of my airguns and tank. It really worked. Not only did it work but it worked fantastic. The science behind the water removal is sound and it is a great water removal tool for any Airgun or tank. I work for JPL / NASA and the basic rules of keeping water out of places you do not want it are followed. At first I thought it was a little to expensive but after reading the way it removes water and oil from my guns and tanks was simple and sound so I had to try it. Glad I did. The unit is built solid and tough and the attaching magnets work great holding it vertically so it can do its job without having to find a permanent place on work bench to mount it. There is not much back pressure noted. There is a manual drain at bottom of extractor to dump the water it extracts. I already said this unit is solid but again this unit is built very well, good machining, and great materials shows pride of workmanship. It performs very good with no leaks or other issues. It comes with additional activated charcoal and cotton wads. I suggest using a small inline filter ahead of the GX water extractor to get most of water out before it gets to the GX extractor especially if you live a humid area. It works as advertised. The media could not be loaded. This filter is by far the heftiest on the market, with quality you can actually feel. The walls are thicker than most, and it has a pressure maintaining valve built in, as well as two bleed valves. It can attach to the compressor via two strong magnets. GX has really smashed it out of the park with their GREAT filter!

Very heavy duty dryer. Quality built and built in regulator works perfectly to remove moisture from compressed air.

The media could not be loaded. First impression of this was that it is a tank - it's a very heavy duty construction unit. It's been well designed and clearly thought through with how it all works. Easy to replace internals, good controls, and good mounting option to add it to a pump

This has to be the best filter you can get in this price range. It has features that a $400 filter has, i.e. a pressure valve that doesn't open till around 2000 psi. which enhances oil/water filtration efficiency through the molecular sieve. Water is collected at the bottom of the filter housing away from the filter cartridge which can be drained through the drain valve. The magnetic mount is another nice feature. The packaging is first rate. This is a high-quality PCP air compressor filter, not junk. I highly recommend it.

Not sure how I feel about this water / oil separator/ filter. First off I already knew that it would slow down the charging speed of my compressor some but I wasn’t prepared for dead dog slow. Using it on my GX4i compressor which is a pretty fast compressor to begin with. I do like the magnetic mounting system which conveniently mounts the filter assembly to the compressor body and the fact that the manufacturer sends an extra filter medium replacement cartridge at no additional cost is awesome and links to YouTube videos for assembly and use are great.
