Novatel Verizon Wireless Jetpack 7730L 4G LTE Includes JPO Car Bullet charger head (Renewed)

Purchased this travel with. However, after bridging this to a home router, this is now my home internet also. used on verizon unlimited prepaid data plan.

This Mifi looks brand new, not a scratch or sign of any wear. All I had to do was put in my Verizon SIM card and turn it on. It immediately got a signal. I did take time to login and configure it to my liking. It did come with firmware version 2.0 and prompted me that a firmware update to 3.5 was available. I went on and let it update. It have been using it daily since I got it. I've not had any disconnects from the internet (cell tower) or drops to my devices via Wifi. Seems like this is a solid Hot Spot. The good news is I've been averaging over 40 mbps down and 15 mbps up. Solid performance.

You can power the device without the battery, which is nice because of eventual battery swelling.

I bought this device because the devices AT&T offers is trash. It took modifying the APN in the mgmt webpage to get it working. But it does indeed work. It's a great device. see images. Another pro is it's compatible with Synology's Routers as a backup internet connection. It's compatible with Android devices. I have an Android car stereo. I can turn off WiFi and plug it directly into my Android car stereo and it adds internet to it instantly.

"Certified refurbished"? Came with all sorts of creepy biblical messages, apocalyptic govt. conspiracy, etc., still onboard at arrival, and new messages downloaded for several weeks. Had multiple problems keeping our devices connected initially, but gradually that improved, and hell & damnfire messages finally quit coming in.But, it has 2 bad antenna cable connectors--wiggly, does not always have good connection to our Wilson booster. So, we "saved" ~ $80, and continue to regret it. I would buy directly from Verizon next time.

Refurbished Jetpack seemed to work okay, however the wall charger included doesn't properly charge the device. After it was plugged in for about 10-12 hours, the battery % only went from about 36% to 42%. The Jetpack screen displayed a message to use the OEM charger but the OEM charger was not supplied with this order. This slow charge time is not acceptable. Worked with Amazon product support and they could not resolve the issue so Jetpack is being returned.

I bought the reconditioned Amazon product. The device generally works well, and it is easy to navigate the screens to get the info needed to set up and log in other devices. Unfortunately, the power button doesn't work correctly. A long press should turn it off and a short press should just turn the screen on an off, like a cell phone. Sometimes pressing the power button does nothing, other times it immediately turns the device completely off. My guess is the power button issue is why the device was returned for refurbishment, and the job wasn't done correctly. Needless to say, it's frustrating to use.

Item came with the wrong charging cable. The cable provided is a micro USB that is supposed to power a model #NOV6620 as opposed to a USB C which is supposed to power the model #MIFI7730L. See pics.This is the second hotspot I ordered from this company. It was supposed to be a replacement hotspot for the original one that came with a cable that does not fit into the charging port very well. There appears to be a design flaw because USB C cables do not fit snugly into either hotspot. In fact, if you plug the USB all the way into the device, it will not charge!This is was advertised as an Amazon renewed item that is quality inspected. Total Hogwash!On the bright side, I was finally able to jiggle the original cable into the hotspot for charging. As long as I did not move it, it charged. And once it finally charged up, it worked very well.However, I am livid that I paid for an item that can only be charged up if you jiggle the cable into the right spot.Both hotspots are being returned, and I will unfortunately have to pay full price for a totally different model!
