Q: Why use coconut oil in a product that is meant to stay on your face? It is highly comedogenic :-/

Hi MidlifeShopper! Thank you for your question :-) Our Firming Collagen Day Lotion was thoughtfully formulated to be safely used by all skin types and to not clog pores. Coconut oil is included in the product because of its excellent moisturizing and skin conditioning properties. We understand there are some concerns about coconut oil having comedogenic properties, and if you have acne-prone skin, it’s important to take that into consideration. Having said that, it is worth pointing out that our Firming Collagen Lotion has been clinically and dermatologist tested to ensure safety and to evaluate the potential for irritation, sensitization and allergic contact – and it passed with flying colors! With that being said, as individual skin types may vary, so too may results. Along those lines, we recommend doing a patch test (i.e., applying the product to a small area of your arm, face or neck at least 24 – 48 hours before applying to your entire face) to make sure the ingredients are suitable for your skin.
