OyaideHSR-AG 5N Pure Silver Headshell Wires / Leads

The application was Ortofon 2M red, wanted to upgrade the wires. Used proper tools and procedure (not a newbie here) and they broke. Complete waste of money and time.

I am a hi-end audio enthusiast who has been setting up and listening to analog rigs for 25+ years. The pins on these are so tiny in diameter, they are useless as is - they don't fit on any standard headshell (Technics, Denon, etc) or any cartridge in my collection (Clearaudio, Benz Micro, Ortofon, Grado, Shelter). Be prepared to whip out an Xacto knife and a toothpick or metal pick and spend an hour or so to try and pry them open enough. No worth the money given the hassle.

Absolutely the best, bar none! I've used other silver and copper headshell leads for years, and these are my favorites unquestionably.Rhodium connectors resist corrosion very well, pure silver wire for the fastest transmission and substantial insulation that is firmer and stronger than 90% of the commercial offerings, as well as a reinforced connector sleeve with that covers the entire connector. (They are a tight fit for Non-Japanese headshell pins! Do not force them.)Every area of the audiophile lexicon is improved, and I'll keep it brief. I have 30+ years of experience setting up high-performance turntables (and the cartridges they affix to). (The cartridges under use here are the Hana ML and the Soundsmith Carmen, set up with a upgraded and modernized VPI HW19 Mk4 and Jelco 750 tonearm).Again, the rhodium-plated connectors are strong as the best I've seen and used. The silver content used here is not bright nor fatiguing, nor does it add any splashy sibilants to trebles. Cymbals are actually rendered correctly, IF the rest of your set-up can pass signals properly. The firm insulation is the best for these applications with low signals. It can bend very well as well and not stress the connection.I absolutely love these for my Oyaide HS-TF Headshell- A synergistic match! BUT, they are a tight fit or a bad fit for Non-Japanese headshell pins! Do not force them. I would seriously consider viewing them under a magnifying glass to see if they will mate properly.If you haven't used the Oyaide headshell either... try it out... Carbon Fiber over Texarium, and less expensive than Ortofon's offerings. Big difference in sound due to zero ringing. I also use as Carbon Fiber over Stainless Steel record mat that also is a great match all around.This is my 2nd purchase. I have two headshells with 2 separate phono cartridges, and now two sets of these leads.

It is really hard to install, even using all the tools and taking care the broke, I think I wasted my time and money

I PURCHASED THESE HEADSHELL WIRES TO WITH THE INTENTION OF TWEEKING MY TURNTABLE SETUP TO BE THE BEST IN THE $10K PRICE RANGE. THESE WIRES / CONNECTORS ARE SO FRAGIL THEY JUST FELL APART DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. I GUESS I'M GOING TO STICK WITH MY OXYGEN FREE ( OCC ) HEADSHELL WIRES CAUSE I'M SURE AS HELL NOT GOING FOR A REPURCHASE & INSTALLATION BS.

THE CABLE CONNECTORS ARE SO WEAK THAT, EVEN WITH EXTREME CARE, THEY TAKE OFF AND BREAK DURING INSTALLATION.

硬い。ピンが折れる。などの書き込みがありましたが私はうまく付ける事が出来ました。先ずケーブルやピンコネクタに急激な屈曲を与えない様にドライバーなどの円柱に銀線部分を巻き付けてループを作りました。シェル側はラジオペンチでケーブルかしめ部分を挟みそのまま差し込みました。次にカートリッジ側はピンの大きさに合わせて千枚通しなどの円錐形の尖った物で予め差し込み口を広げました。(これを円柱型の精密ドライバーなどでやると全体が緩くなると思うので、あくまでも入り口のみ広げる感じ)コネクタピンが1mm位入ったら一気に差し込まず、ケーブルのカシメ部分をラジオペンチで握り直してゆっくり差込みました。このやり方で成功しています。音について感心したのは、キラキラした線の細い感じではなくドッシリと落ち着いた雰囲気で音像にも立体感を感じられた事です。(聴力も落ちてきてるのでまぁ参加程度で)

SURE M97xE、AUDIOTECHNICA MG10と同時購入。銀のリードを使ってみたかったのと、デザインのバランスがカッコいいのと、オヤイデのパーツだったから。音は・・・もちろん気に入りました。

ケーブル差し込みにくく結果断線した。

「ガラススリーブが硬く、結線処理が難しい。」と言われているが、１．リード線をシェルに取り付ける。２．事前にリード線をフォーミングする。３．リード線をカートリッジに取り付ける。４・カートリッジをシェルにネジ止めする。の順番に作業を進めれば、通常のリード線と変わらず作業が行えました。DL-103/DL-103Rの場合、（通常のカートリッジと異なり）L/R、ホット/グランドの位置関係がシェルの端子配置に対して反転している為、リード線がクロスするので事前フォーミングが重要になります。作業をする際、ラジオペンチでリード線の絶縁スリーブを傷付けないように、注意深く丁寧に作業することに留意したい。音に関しては、現時点ではリード線だけを取り替えた比較視聴が出来ていないので厳密なことを言えませんが情報量が多く、DL-103Rから力強さを引き出してくれた印象です。 DENON DL-103R MC型カートリッジDENON DL-103R MC型カートリッジ
