Easy to install. Great look with added locking mechanism.
Instructions were excellent. With the installation, added a layer of protection from off the street access to the property.

Nice and sturdy lock, smooth operation
I like this a lot. My door had many failed holes on it. This one also screwed to the side of the door. It works great so far, took some strong hits well.

Great lock, just make sure to align beforehand
I decided to fabricate a new gate for our driveway after the store brand vinyl gate decided to crack after one month of Midwest weather. We've had this brand in the past, and really enjoyed the looks of it. They included a template, which made the install easy. Make sure your gate is level and set where you want it. There isn't much adjustment (only in the pin side). My wife likes how easy it is to unlock the gate, especially via the front button.

Generally satisfied
I'm generally satisfied with the 2-sided latch and lock.Pros:It's about $20 cheaper than the big box storesInstallation is relatively straightforward and the parts seem to be decent quality (time will tell)You can reverse the latch in case your gate is on the left or right side of the latch post.Cons:Screws are way too short to hold in wood installations. 3 of 10 immediately stripped out screwing into good wood.I'm fairly skilled with tools, but drilling a straight 5/8 inch hole (for the key spindle) through a 4 inch post will be a challenge for some.Even though I drilled a straight hole, the key spindle was not perfectly straight and still bound while turning the key so I had to slightly enlarge the hole. The hole is made close to the edge of the post, which weakens the wood in this area. It's not ideal having to carry an extra set of keys around. A combo lock would have been better.

Great product when it’s the original and not a knock-off
I bought two of these from different sellers. The first one was a knockoff made out of zinc. That one was a pain in the ass to keep the button from not sticking. The packaging came in clear bags. The second one came in the official branded packaging. Note that it had the company logo unlike the other one. I’m very pleased with the branded one, very sturdy and strong spring button. Installing takes time and patience. I did mine within 1.5 hours. My first one took like 2-3 hours and was done incorrectly. Make sure you measure twice!!!!

Really Sturdy!
My older gate lock wore out. I needed a new one and realized that this would work perfectly. I learned the hard way that if you need to switch the side to open it correctly, switch BOTH pieces. I switched one and the other one was not obvious that it needed to be turned around. Once I did that, it was easy to install. Definitely recommend.

works.... sorta
It works fairly well most of the time. But I had to return it for a replacement when the lock mechanism failed. Now the replacement is doing OK, but it still feels pretty fragile.
