This series is excellent. This one is good for understanding religions around the world.Well written with simple illustrations.

Fantastic book. Lots of relevant info for curious teens and maybe some young adults. Not dumbed down like a lot of books are nowadays. DK never fail to disappoint.

It features in-depth sections on Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as well as featuring broader sections on primal beliefs, ancient and classical beliefs, and modern religions.The text is easy to follow, making it accessible to a wide range of readers, including those completely new to the subject, and it uses helpful graphics to summarise and clarify key concepts. Colourful illustrations help to break up the text, preventing any of the chapters from feeling too dense.I would recommend this book to anyone who is new to the subject or who is looking to refresh their knowledge. It will act as a solid jumping off point for further learning and will remain a useful reference text.

This Religions book was superbly written with intelligent research on the major world faiths still in the world today. This Religions Book informs people of the beliefs and world views of other people and their religious path that they are on. The Authors point out key terms and phrases of the faith groups adherents.This information is vitaly important in engaging with the Religions of this world.Mankind has the eternal within their hearts and searches for truth and wants to know why are we here? Who is God? Where do I come from? How do I live? What does it all mean?When will I obtain the answers I am looking for?

I bought this book as I felt my overall knowledge of religion was somewhat lacking – trying to find the right book is difficult? I wanted to be better informed but not an expert. So a decent overview is what I was looking for.This ‘DK’ book is just perfect in my opinion. It is absolutely packed with detail on all of the major religions, starting from ‘tribal’ religions some 3,000 years before Christ, right up to the ‘modern’ religions of the 20th century. Obviously the likes of Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam & Judaism get the most print time but I have learned so much from this excellent book. There are so many interesting facts about the religions from all over the world, their roots, their leaders / Gurus, Gods/ deities etc. that I found the read immensely satisfying.

I cannot commend this book enough. I bought it as a cheap pot shot at something that would summerise and consolidate a far reaching and complex topic.It is very well presented and makes enjoyable reading with thoughtful illustrations and images. Absolutely no bias and attempts to acknowledge past and present accross the world.A colourful order applied to what can often be an tangled web of complexity.

I am starting to buy more and more used books to reduce waste and save money. This book came in very good condition, at a great price, with free shipping and came exceptionally quickly.

Very good book to have for an easy understanding of religions. I am an R.E teacher and find this very useful in explaining big concepts in simple terms to teens.
