Q: is this site good for the left hand side for us southpaw shooters?

I would think that it would work fine if you flipped it around to extend from the left side. I would not shoot it on the right side of the gun left handed because brass would peg your face. But flipping them around to the other side should work fine. From an aiming standpoint its the same concept that applies

as long as you have a picatiiny rail fits my ar15 and ar10

Q: Can the front sight post be resplaced with one from Blitzkrieg? The ones that are high contrast and/or tritium insert?

These are a clone of the Dueck Defense RTS sights, which are standard military A2 sights. They use a standard AR-15 front sight post, so you should have no issue using aftermarket posts for the standard A2 front sight.

Q: Is the index knob adjustable and does it have an index set screw?

It is but there is not a set screw
