All of the wiring instructions come with the thermostat. It's very easy to follow. If you don't have a back plate to put it in, it comes with 1 back plate and it takes 2 AA batteries. They also have a tech number to call for any questions. They are very polite and will talk you through anything that might come up. 5 year warranty. Works a/c & Heat. Lighted background. Very satisfied with the THERMOSTAT.
