Still pining for the old version of their tube mascara....
I wish I didn't have to say this, but I am somewhat disappointed. I have loved their mascara, in the past. I was hoping it was a revival of their former product, so maybe my expectations are unfair. I am not a fan of the wand. It has no way to separate your lashes or envelope them for better application or coverage. I miss the fragrance of the former, as well. Oh well, I am sure there are some who were not a fan cause it took me a moment to adjust to the fragrance, but after I did, I missed it once I ran out and could no longer buy a replacement. To sum it up, this is not as good of a product as their previous tube mascara, in my opinion, and with the wand issues, it simply doesn't measure up.

I have nothing but good things to say about this mascara. I have sensitive eyes and when I saw this had natural ingredients I couldn't pass it up, although I was skeptical on what the overall quality may be. I shouldn't have doubted them. The packaging itself is beautiful and much prettier than the picture-I receive compliments from my friends all the time. As for the product itself there are few clumps, it goes on smooth, and the smells just like cloves. Best of all it has not irritated my eyes after multiple applications and comes off much easier than the Benefit Badgal Lash mascara I was using before. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I look forward to buy more from this cosmetic line.

Not a good mascara
I went to the Besame site, and I don't think that they even make this product anymore. They are selling mascara more authentically retro - cake mascara. This stuff dried up fast, was a little clumpy at best, and smelled weird. Not a yummy clove like one reviewer said, more of a chemical that might possibly contain clove. It just smells weird. And, crazy expensive for what it is. But, I guess that it is moot now.

Pretty smell...
But it doesn't do much for your lashes; it hardly thickens or elongates them. Which makes it a very expensive product.

like regular mascara
The picture shown isn't the mascara you'll receive. It's a much larger wand, like regular mascara, and very untrue to the actual style of 1930's mascara.

Simple light formula, more like a lash tint than a dramatic look
I'm a fan of this mascara but it may or may not be right for you depending in what you like:-It's a very thin formula, more like a lash tint. I like that because I have long lashes that tend to clump. If you are looking for something thickening or dramatic it may not be your cup of tea-The oils that act as a preservative have a clove or gingerbread scent.-It's based on a formula from the 1930s that contains only a few natural ingredients. So it's good if you are looking for something natural.-They also sell a cake mascara that doubles as eyeliner if you prefer that.
