Is Novus clean and shine the best thing to clean lid off with or is there something else that can be used?

Novus is recommended by My Sweet Petunia and specified on their packaging for every MISTI Stamping Tool. In using my own personal MISTI, I have been successful in using non-alcohol baby wipes. It works great especially for those quick clean ups and does not impair the original finish of your MISTI. It is more convenient, fairly inexpensive (I always purchase an off-brand) making cleanup a breeze.

Which size would be the best to have

There are 3 sizes now. The "Mini" (which is good for cards A2 size) 6x7 with a 6x4-3/4 stamping area, the original, and the new 12x12 size. I have the original 8x10 size with a 6.5x8.5 stamping area which is perfect for any type of cards and quite a few interesting techniques that you can find on YouTube. I think the original is the most versatile. But if you like to bring your work to scraps, the smaller one would be lighter and more convenient to carry. The largest I think is overkill but again if you like to stamp a lot on your 12x12 scrapbook pages, perhaps that would be a good choice.

How do I separate stuck magnets?

Slide them is the easiest way. If they snap, they could break. I put washi tape around mine and it makes them easier to separate.
