Performer JC-70 30 Speed Recumbent Trike (Black)

Love this trike! RBR was able to expedite delivery for me, so it arrived well ahead of prediction. Great folks to deal with. Assembly was easy with provided tools + crescent wrench & some assistance from my son with the chain & cables. Only one very minor concern, really shared with most recumbent trikes I've seen - & easily fixed - I find the headrest to be impractical, hits back of helmet - needs really to be a neck rest. I removed the headrest bracket & attached the provided headrest to flip over the top of the seatback, now nestles in the curve of my neck against the top of the seat shell, , beneath the helmet. Will replace with a FinerRecliner Curve neck rest. Set up with flag & Dinotte lights all around, visibility is not an issue, tho I may be the cause of many wry necks - seems no-one fails to notice & remark on the novelty of this set of wheels! Very fast & sporty.I could not be more pleased.

I bought this trike recently and, while there's been small issues, you cannot beat it for the price! I didn't buy from Amazon (sorry!) but shopped around and got it w/o paying any freight or additional cost. Yeah, it does ride rough but I believe that's simply a characteristic of recumbent trikes. (My wife has a TerraTrike Tour ll and it rides pretty rough too!) I've had no steering issues and I'd imagine that's an assembly issue, not an issue of the trike itself. You do need to have a fair knowledge of bike mechanicing if you plan to assemble this trike yourself. While I'm not 100% sold on the seat, it does fit me just fine, is comfortable, and actually cooler than I thought it might be. Might I have been happier with another brand, maybe, but I'm very pleased especially for the amount of money I saved. As far as weight, it's comparable in weight to my wife's TTTll. Main thing is it's really long! I won't be shoving it in the rear of my wife's Kia when I take her car for service, I'll use my road bike for that!
