CRAZY SHARK Magnetic Net Release Aluminum Shell for Fly Fishing

The media could not be loaded. It's a good, strong and inexpensive magnetic quick release. I got one (not the same brand) a few years ago for my fly fishing net, but this one I'm using to attach my disc retrieval tool to my disc golf bag. Works great, would recommend to anyone.

UPDATED Review for dog leash: I've been using this not as a keychain for the reasons stated below, but rather as a way to attach a small flashlight (shout-out to RovyVon lights) to my dogs leash. Nothing on the leash is magnetic so the light/keychain just dangles. Magnet is strong enough I know it's not coming loose on it's own and when I need to use it it pops right off from the leash. Light/keychain combo is small enough to keep it attached all the time, and when I need to charge the light, it pops off easily enough. Been using it this way for several months if not a year or more.Old Review for keys: If you use this as a quick disconnect for your keys, it's going to stick to everything metallic in your pocket (duh), unless you've got all aluminum keys/keyrings. For me that meant my keys were folded over in weird ways onto themselves and poked me, instead of how they naturally lay in the pocket. And then you have to separate the keys (unfold/untangle) from the magnet to use.As for the product itself, it looks great and the magnet is pretty strong, as I'm sure others have pointed out. Quality seems to be pretty high, but I stopped using it after a month, so I can't really comment on longevity.Perhaps a weaker magnet would be more ideal, but you have to weigh that against how strong of a connection you want when you go to separate your keys (if you use it that way).

First of all, I like the variety of color choices because these aren't just for men or just to be used for fishing. I purchased one to become a part of my keychain. My mail boxes are a block away from my home and when I stop to get out of the car to get my mail, I didn't want to turn my car off or fumble with a carabiner clip to remove my mailbox key. This magnet was the perfect solution to getting the keys off quickly. However, don't think for a minute that it's not secure because it is. My keys won't separate in my pocket or hanging up. The magnet is very strong and there is a technic for getting it apart which takes a second to learn. I highly recommend this keychain addition and if you think about it.... You'll find a lot of uses for it, like attaching a medication fob to your purse for a quick access to your meds. Attach an ice scraper to one of these so you're not always searching for it in your car. It's endless.

This is just plain handy. Strong magnet. I clip one end to my backpack and the other to a small pepper spray can for quick access. I'm not a spring chicken so am a target to some and this reassures.

Holy moly these things are POWERFUL. They will literally hang from anything metal, and will find each other from across a dark room lol

These shark magnetics are great for more than just a keychain. The magnet is very strong, stays connected, and hold more than it looks like it would. I love the different colors that they come in and how they come with the ring holders and the clip. Trust me you will not regret this purchase. I love them so much I have purchased more than 10.

I have used this everyday for 5 years straight to attach my car keys to a backpack that is always with me at work. No problems of any kind. Yeah....it's worth 8$

I was surprised at the strength of this little magnet. For my test I set my edc pouch (17.4oz) on the ground and and lifted it 5’ with micro paracord attached to the magnet. Even with a little shaking it held on. I got it for retrieving keychains, tools, or anything that falls into a crack, crevice, or other space I can’t get into. The size makes it perfect for a Maxpedition micro edc pouch.
