The Shade I've Craved!
My doors and windows came described as " Light Oak " Hence I've spent Years ~ and untold coin! ~ on wasted, discarded and horrible tins. Tins of what's always turned out to much closer resemble a nasty version of " Antique Pine ". (Probably fine, if ye desired the 'Antique Pine' look. But, I wanted the tone of my doors)No 'Oak' ~ Light, Straight or Dark ~ seemed to do anything but clash. Then, I saw this " Georgian "! Bingo! I now have a dado rail that just sort of runs out of my door frame as if they were one :)I won't try to show ye a photo. Because the light is really awkward, where I've used it. But, yeah; If ye looking for that elusive shade, the lighter side of dark, and with that suspicion of reddishness? Not 'Black' Oak. And none of that yellow tone. This could well be the one for you too.

Does what it says on the tin
A good product that out-performs a lot of other water based dyes. Thick consistency means few splashes and seems to be less blotchy on new pine than some. Easy to use and clean up. Photo is new pine, 3 coats of mahogany and a coat of colron lacquer. Another coat of dye would have darkened it quite a bit.

True colour
Easy to use but had to put quite a few coats on a wooden ornament bleached by the sun.

Does the job well
It’s the second time I’ve used this product. It covers wellI used three Coates as I wanted the finish a little darker. If you apply it with the purchased lintless cloths it goes on well with no brush marksFinish with three Coates of Danish Oil then Beeswax it’ll guarantee a good job on stripped antique furniture.
