Discovered that our freezer wasn't staying cool and our fridge was warmer also. The freezer was set to be at 0 degrees Fahrenheit while the fridge was set for 37° f. However, the freezer itself was about 16° f and the fridge part was 50° f. I cleaned my coils and checked some other things but ultimately came down to the heating defrost unit. With my multimeter I could see that there was zero continuity. Found this good cost effective option here on amazon and placed an order. Got here pretty quick and I was able to swap it out and when I was installing it I could see how caked with ice and frost my evaporator coils were. It took about a day for to do its job but at this point the fridge is running like new. Long-term, we'll see what happens. But since this claims to have a lifetime warranty that provides a little bit of assurance for me.

Because this one was in an Amazon warehouse near me. It was delivered in less than 24hrs from when I ordered it. Very nice surprise.. Do yourself a favor and order two like I did. They tend to break at the worse times.

It works, but maybe not very long. I replaced it two years ago and just recently. But, it's cheap and easy, and I don't know how much longer my 18 year old refrigerator will last so I don't want to buy OEM for a lot more.

I originally purchased this item in 2022, as a replacement for the OEM part that lasted for over 20 years. What stood out about this company was that they backed the product by a warranty. When the product broke in 2024, naturally I was happy that it was backed by a multi-year warranty, which was honored, but only at 70% coverage (nowhere was this mentioned, but I relented and paid 30% for a replacement which newly carries a lifetime warranty). Now less than a year later, the replacement has failed. Multiple attempts to contact them by email (which bounces as an invalid address), and their support website have failed to receive a response. Maybe you'll be lucky to get a unit that works a while, but don't count on the warranty.

Timely arrival. Part installed and worked fine

These are cheap and they work. But they don't work for long. I've had to replace two of them over the past two years now. For the price, I can kind of deal with it. Maybe there's something wrong with the refrigerator that's causing the problem. Three stars thus far.

Product met expectations. Would buy again.
