Reasonably comfortable on my smallish head, v bright!
This was bought for dog walks in the winter and also for the husband when he needs an extra light for 'handyman' work. On both fronts it has functioned well. It recharges via USB and the battery seems to last well - I don't think we have had to recharge it since we got it about 6 months ago (although equally it has not been used a huge amount). The zoom function of the light works well - more relevant to my husband than on dog walks. There are differing levels of brightness that can be 'toggled through' by pressing the button on the unit - the lowest setting is perfect for walks. It is a little heavy on one's head but I think they all are due to the battery packs - it is perfectly manageable though. We've not tested it in the wet yet - I will update this review if we have any issues on this front.

Decent head torch
I ordered two of these head torches, they arrived promptly in a nice case and work very well. If I do encounter any problems over time I'll update the review. It is a relatively light torch and well balanced. I haven't used it enough to comment on battery life but it runs on two 18650 batteries which could be easily replaced or swapped with spares if needed. The torch is bright, not quite as bright as a cree LED torch I own but not far off and the beam goes from very wide to a fairly tight square beam.On one of the two torches the mechanism to zoom the beam was very stiff and at first I thought I'd bought a non zoomable torch but mistake but this already seems to be getting looser with use. The other was perfect. An excellent buy, would recommend!

Brilliant for wandering in the great outdoors.
I go walking in hilly country a lot, normally I use a 100 lumen head torch and take a 1100 lumen hand torch to look further ahead but this is not quite enough if the trail is muddy or not well travelled. So I bought this after reading various reviews. This light is a really good compromise between weight and output with the advantage of being able to zoom in and out to give a longer or wider beam and does the job perfectly. I think it is a little bit heavy for jogging or running but if you need the beam that this throws out then this will be ok. Personally I find it a bit bright (a first) for close up working or around a camp but I carry a spare that does that job. All in all a good product for anyone who needs a light for looking ahead with the bonus of a rear red light for road walking.

Bright - Yes, Zoomable - Ermmmm. Get one anyway!!
Needed a head torch for working in remote locations in Winter. This is excellent. Long battery life and exceptionally bright means I can work for hours instead of minutes. Because the using has the batteries in the head unit, it is a bit heavy, but you adapt to that. The battery pack does make putting it on without whacking yourself in the head a bit awkward, but, again, you adapt.WHat I have not been able to find is the 'zoom' function. Sure, the bezel rotates and unscrews by make little, if any, difference to the beam pattern. No matter, it works, and that is important. Best of all, its a USB charging system, so I can top the batteries up as I drive from job to job, and as the batteries are lithium, any chance of an early death through the memory effect is virtually non existent. If you want a great head torch and don't mind the weight, get one of these!!!

Bright lights
Got this head torch for camping and it's very bright. I mainly use it on the second brightest setting as the first is very bright. You can zoom the lens so that the beam size is changed. There is also a strobe function which is very powerful - great for tent raves. The head torch itself is not too weighty. The straps can be easily adjusted. The batteries sit at the back of your head which balance out the bulb's weight. On the back there is a red light and a charging port for the batteries which is handy. Comes in a cute and handy carry case

Great dog walking head torch.
Bought this head torch for dog walking primarily and I'm really happy with it. Fits comfortably and securely with the extra strap over the head. The torch itself is very bright and lights up the path to a distance of at least 50 metres. Dog quickly learned to follow the beam but the only trouble now is that dogs walks take twice as long because she can easily find new things to sniff. I've rated the battery life five stars in anticipation of it being good but I have to be honest, I've yet to see just how long the battery really lasts. Will probably use it for biking too as it has an extra red light on the back though not that bright.

Good carrying case marks this one out from many similar models.
I have had many head torches over the years, and this very decent example was really good value. I already have a similar torch, but its charging port is one of those co-axial DC power sockets, requiring an adapter lead to connect to any old 5v phone charger, whereas this torch, sensibly has the much more practical charging solution: a standard micro USB port enabling you to top it up as soon as you've charged your phone. With regard to the two supllied 18650 Li-ion batteries which claim a capacity of 3.2Ah each, one of them was almost fully charged and the other required over 1Ah to top it up, and I very much doubt if their capacity is even half of what is clained, but even if so, they'll last a usefully long time, and I'll try to remember to update this review when I've had the torch long enough to discharge them.Highly recommended.

Poor design, not durable
It’s been hardly 3 months since I bought the torch and it started giving problems. When I tilt the torch one click it stops working. It works only in 1 position. The brightness is good but the design is very poor. Not a lasting torch
