Worked awesome to boost my RV TV RCA audio out and feed the 12dc stereo system
Installed this booster in my RV to carry the TV Audio out to the stereo. Piggy backed the power wire from the stereo. I believe I could have used the stereo pre-amp or antenna switched power. I chose to install a cool blue light up manual switch to power up. Could be be happier.

Horrible quality
The Road Rage VRX2 is a low quality audio line driver (aka audio pre-amplifier), made in China for Micro Alarm Systems (MARS). It had a total of 4 female RCA jacks ( two for the left/right inputs, and two for the outputs. It also was a power wire with an inline fuse, and a ground wire. There are two recessed gain control pots (left and right) to adjust the amount of signal amplification. The shell is made of plastic and is 2x2x1.25 inches in size. While it did amplify the signal from my head unit, it also created a high level of hum/buzz in the output which increased greatly as I turned up the gain. There was no buzz in the original signal. I tested it with the power and ground wires connected directly to a 12 volt battery.I’m going to return this, as I found a much better line driver made by Cerwin Vega called the IOEMHL which does not distort the signal as this one did, and it comes on a nice metal enclosure. The IOEMHL is more then twice the price of this VRX2 but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

RCA jacks, not 3.5 mm stereo.
Many internet movies are coded with very low audio levels. I do not use internal TV speakers (poor sound at best of times ). Signal level needed boosting. Unfortunately the adverts are always loud and they get amplified too. An audio compressor would be an improvement. No power supply. Had to hard wire my own but as an electronics engineer, for me, not a problem.I would have preferred knobs for the left and right channels. Sound quality fine. Very low noise. Undetectable.

Cheap guitar preamp
I needed something to boost the output of electric guitars. Connecting the guitar to the line inputs of my sound card didn't work great...the signal was a little too low. In fact, my guitar has a hexaphonic pickup with 6 outputs - one for each string. I could have bought 6 mic preamps and used the line in on them, but 6 of them would be too much money. Instead I wired up 3 of these guys - they're stereo, so 2 preamps each. I used a Wall wart for power, 12 volts DC and added some filtering to it and the whole thing works great, and cost less than 100 bucks.

Does the job but a bit noisy
Unit worked as described. No issues with installation, but bandwidth seems somewhat limited and it definitely adds noise to the system.

It works!
The kids kept complaining about the headphones in the back of the truck weren't loud enough when watching a movie (first world problems, I know..) this little amp mounted easily and out of the way, and it increases the volume significantly. Glad I found it. Only thing is I wish they were female to male connectors instead of female to female. I had to buy an adapter.

Great amp
This worked great for me. I bought a crown amp to power aura shakers and some subs. I needed the signal to be amplified to the amp. And these worked great. Wished it had a standar barrel plug for power and the fuse in the case instead of hanging on wires. But other than that this worked great
