This is an exact replacement battery for my son's Toshiba S55T-C5222 laptop. It is rated at 2600mAh, which is slightly lower than the 2800mAh original battery. How much difference would 200mAh make is hard to tell but my son uses his laptop on a regular basis for school and photography class running Photoshop. With heavy photo processing, a full charge from this battery lasts him about 2.5 hours before needing a charger. I'd imagine it'll last longer than that for non-heavy tasks - email, word processing, productivity suites, etc.So far I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a replacement Toshiba laptop battery. One thing I would suggest is to ensure your laptop's compatibility with this battery. It will work for most Toshiba laptops, but not all.

I finally found one that worked properly for a Toshiba Satellite e45t-b4204. I recently tried three other batteries for the same part number and had poor experiences with them. This one charged, held the charge, and lasted 4 hours without any issues whatsoever. This was my final attempt to extend the life of this laptop, which, other than the battery, is perfectly fine. Hopefully this one will last me 2-3 more years.

I had a dead battery that held no charge. As soon as I unplugged the laptop, it would die. Replaced the battery with this guy and all is good. I get a long lasting charge and don't have to worry about the laptop dying in my backpack over the weekend and killing all the unsaved documents I left open. It works as expected.

It was also placed inside a sealed anti static bag to protect the battery further.Please read the instructions first before replacing the battery.It recommends discharging the battery 2% first before charging up.Simply pop this into your laptop and switch on without the power supply and allow the battery to use up about 2% battery.Then you're good to put your laptop on charge.This simple process will allow the battery to maximise its charging potential and will give a longer life.Make sure that your charging adapter is suitable for charging this battery as well.After taking the above precautions I installed this in a Toshiba satellite laptop replacing a dead battery.It came to life as soon as I pushed the power button on the laptop and I could see that the battery was already holding a charge of nearly 50%I allowed it to drop to 48% then plugged in my laptop charger as stated in the instruction.The instructions come written in 5 languages (English, deutsch, espanol, francais and Japanese)Excellent replacement battery for the Toshiba range of satellite laptops.
