You could get a smaller cheaper heating unit that would fufill the same practical purpose, but the asthetic value for this heater really shines! The multiple viewing angles gives a much more realistic look and the sublte attention to detail (like the handle that mimics the design of real wood stoves to dissapate heat) make this product easy to recommend.

The Dura Heat in door heater is both beautiful and extremely functional. I was very pleased with the construction and design of the unit. The Bronze color is rich and the unit is very easy to use. The heat it produces easily heats our living room and the flames are a delight to watch. Also, the controls are easy to navigate and I really like the separate buttons for visual flames and the heating unit. I highly recommend this unit!

I ended up ordering TWO (the first had a slight dent in the metal framing around the heating unit). Unfortunately, the second unit had the same issue, so they both went back. It has the potential to be a nice infrared quartz heater since it is cute and provides a nice ambience...

I got this heater 2 years ago, and I love it!!! it heats up 2 rooms perfectly. I have electric heat, and ever since I got this heater, it has saved me money. I recommended 100 %.

This is the second time I purchased this heater. The first one lasted one winter season. I loved the look of it so I purchased another. This one stopped heating after less than 2 months. It still looks great and starts to heat when turned on but shuts off. It's so cute but a piece of junk if you are actually looking to warm a room. I am back to using my little tiny one that I've had for 4 years now. It's smaller and doesn't have the side view but it works!!

Really like the size, small and compact. Heats really well, love the fireplace look. But it increases our electric bill by $60 a month. Not as efficient as ad claims

I agonized over which heater to buy for my second floor. No heating vents on the second floor so it was super cold. A large space where I have my office, guest area, and craft projects. This heater won over due to price and ratings. It is small, but it quickly heats a large space. Within twenty minutes the chill is gone. I often find myself turning it off after an hour. The space I am heating is approximately 800 square feet.

I really like the looks of this stove. I ordered bronze. So far after about week of constant use its works, thermostat has turned off and on, and after it's warmed up it's quiet. The only thing that could be better is a 3D fame alhtough this flame is fine. I'm very happy with this stove so far. It's a great value for the price.Update: I do not recommend. The flame effect quit working exactly 90 days after I got it.
