Q: Is this a metric or inch square?

This is not marked in metric or imperial. It is marked in the Japanese sun system. That is a system of measurement used by Japanese craftsmen making complex joinery. Still a great tool for 90 and 45 degree calibration and marking. Not good for measuring

Q: To Seller: have you resolved issue of sending metric when picturing and advertising inch increments. I sent mine back being it was metric ???

I wasn't really bothered by it.There are more and more times I need to be measuring in metric.Many of the plans i get from other amateurs are from the UK or somewhere else in Europe or Canada. I try to get to know more and more of these other amateurs that have fantastic ideas! we get to share more because i don't require them to translate their ideas in the inches before sharing.

Q: How can I get an authentic, accurate square, like described by older reviews, and not an out-of-square impostor? Any sellers guarantee the real thing?
