Highly recommended age-appropriate introduction to life in the womb for preschool and elementary-age children
I read this book to my nine year-old son around the time of his little sister's birth, and although I think the book would be even better for children a little younger than he is, I was very pleased with the way the book highlighted in an age-appropriate way some of the very real experiences that children in the womb experience, from hearing their parents' muffled voices outside, to moving around, growing and discovering their own toes and fingers. The story culminates with the birth experience, which is not revealed in any specific anatomical way but which nevertheless realistically talks about the baby's experience of feeling squeezed and pushed. For my nine year-old son, some of the baby dialog was a little contrived and corny, but the discovery that babies in the womb have real and interesting experiences was eye-opening, and the hints at the wonder of child birth were tantalizing and absolutely on-target with respect to my son's level of understanding and development. I highly recommend this book for boys and girls of any preschool or elementary age.

Love this book!
I thought this was such a cute book! I read it out loud to the baby in the womb and it made me laugh and cry. It makes you think like the unborn baby and you wouldn’t have thought of this otherwise. Can’t wait to read it to him after hers born!

Not a fan.
Not a fan of the book. I feel like it's too long for it's kind.

Offers a sample then doesn't give it!
Downloaded the sample to compare to a few other books I'm considering... What a joke! The "sample" is the cover, a blank page, the index, & the dedication page. Won't be buying out of pure frustration with their selfishness. Just share 1 damn page so ppl can make a decision. No need to force a purchase up front. Maybe that's why it only has 16 reviews?
