Lovely sampler of flavors
I am new to chinese tea and the brewing methods so I wanted a cheap way to dip my toes into it before delving further and this little pack was a fabulous way to get to know all the various flavor profiles. The little pellets break down beautifully into whole leaves after the initial wash, and release their aromas by the first steep. I am able to pull about 8-9 steeps before the flavor begins to thin out.My favorite so far has been the glutinous rice ones so I'm happy that there are 6 of those vs just 3 in the packet, as it has a nice rich rice flavor that reminds me of japanese rice tea. My least favorite has been the raw pu erh one as it had an overwhelming grassy green tea bitter astringency to it. Maybe I need to use a lower temp, I still have 2 more pellets to play with. The rose one was my favorite in terms of smell, it was very floral and soothing, but the flavor was way too floral for my liking.Overall the tea has been excellent, not mind blowing, but delicious enough to entice me to look into ordering tea from china while I finish the rest of this sampler set. Having a different flavor to try everyday has been incredibly fun.

Beautiful quality. I love quality.
Some of the most wonderful puerh. Different types to choose from. Helped me a lot. Reasonably priced. I had no idea it would be so exquiste. Thank you a lot.

No paper list included
I drink pu-erh tea every morning and wanted to try something new. I specifically bought this brand because of the paper included identifying each flavor with a wrapper color. However, my package did not include this legend, so I have to visit this website every time I want to try a new flavor, or try to print the list out somehow. The tea so far is excellent, but I am disappointed by the inconsistency of packaging.

WORTH IT !
If you are considering buying this... DO IT ! I don't usually leave reviews but I have to.. always appreciate genuine tea reviews. I have been so skeptical of buying mini tuo cakes for cheap but couldn't resist at the price/flavors.Not very fragrant with whatever herbs/flavors are infused but gives a subtle aroma. I personally love the scent that is specific to these ripe pu ehr cakes. I can't get enough of them and crave cheat takeout just to drink this pu ehr after a delicious not so healthy meal (wings & rice 👌). My only problem is the raw cakes. There are only 2 but they seem to be stored too wet and are farr from aged enough. The raw glutinous rice smelled and tasted of raw pungent mushroom mycelium.. fishy and metallicy even. But they can easily be saved to age over the years. Overall so worth it I just ordered a second pack and it's only been about a month since I first tried. Gonna order some glutinous rice and ginseng 40 packs very soon. I'm hooked... Actually prefer this over my very fancy pu ehr most days.Thank you for this tea !!! 🙏❤️

Not much flavor difference
Fine, put the only flavor difference that is really noticeable ripe vs raw.

Beautifully crafted!!!
I am an avid tea drinker. I am considered to be very knowledgeable on all facets of teas from around the world, tea ware, etc. it’s a passion of mine. These tuo cha disks are perfect little single use for my gaiwans. They’re so convenient. I now bring them to work with me. What blew me away the most, was the lavender ones!!! I’m in love!!! The flavor is amazing. I have been looking online to try and grab them in bulk, but can’t find just lavender tuo’s anywhere. I would love for this company to offer single flavors as well. Other than that, which is an easy added benefit for them, this tea variety sampler is an absolute winner! Every flavor is on point, true to its name/variety. Each tea has been processed correctly (no stale, moldy , or fishy hints). In my opinion, these are a great product, especially for this price. Thank you so much for putting these out there for everyone to enjoy!!!!

just not my cup of tea -- and a possible health risk
After feeling off or weird around any time I drank this product I decided to throw it out. I've been a fan of whole-leaf black tea for 20 years, and although I never liked any of the occasional freebie samples of pu-erh tea I would get occasionally, I thought I'd keep my mind open and give them more of a fair shake.Although you will hear that people in China drink pu-erh because they think it has digestive system benefits, it does the exact opposite for me. I tried several out of this package. It throws off my digestive system, and the effects can last three or four days. Also, don't take my word for it, but research for yourself: Pu-erh can contain dangerous mycotoxins. After reading stories about this I've decided to abandon this entire branch of teas. This is no great loss, IMO, because the taste is if you steeped grandma's dirty sweat socks. Still there are epicures out there that rave about pu-erh, but I find that's the case with almost any disgusting delicacy.

Probably green tea or shen, little flavor, but there was a hair…
What can I say, it’s not puerh, if it is it’s shen and not shu like it says.. but it tastes to me like green tea, it brews like green tea, and the leaves look pretty green when they’re brewed. And then, there’s absolutely zero jasmine flavor to it, which could be from being stored too long in improper conditions.. if brewed properly they can make a sweet, slightly tangy brew, but not really any jasmine notes.. I thought all of that BEFORE I broke open one of the mini bings and saw a black curly hair sticking out of it staring me down… I always break apart my tea so that It can wake up better and rinse off most of the dust before it can get into my teapot and supply the flavor of my next brew and thank Gods I do! I’m sure it’s just a stray beard hair from the manufacturing process, at least that’s what I’m telling myself that it was because the idea of putting it through my teapot and down my gullet turns it over.. BUT!! I called Amazon and they made it right with a refund, so I’m left with the dilemma of what to do with the remaining tea: I’m studious about breaking them apart to brew better tea, but I’m also reminded of the hair/tea dingleberry… for now it lives in my tea trunk under a controlled environment so it can age properly, but I’ll probably just compost it… but to waste tea is such sacrilege!! Decisions decisions!
