I originally bought Musher's Secret Paw Wax to protect my dogs’ paws from hot pavement and rough terrain, and it’s been fantastic. I wish I had taken a before and after photo! My dogs paws were so cracked and raw. He was having issues with allergies and I had no idea. When I tried to go cut his nails, he tried to bite me and that’s when I discovered that his paws were cracked , raw and painful. We bought this product for him and applied it every day for a week and now he is back to allowing me to cut his nails and touch his paws with no issues. They look healthy and I know he feels much better. I would highly recommend this product. It really works!

It is a great item for rough skin on humans too.

This stuff is awesome. Within a few applications, my dog’s paws started to heal from the cracking. It helped prevent mud sticking and made cleanup after our walks easier. You can barely smell it and my dog didn’t seem to mind having it applied. Worked great on my dry, cracked feet as well!

Seems to work as advertised! After walks this week had Bridger sit and we applied to each of his (very hard, cracked, and scratchy) paw pads. Rubbed it in. Wala! It is already working!

While neither Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) nor I can attest to how well it handles severe weather yet, I am happy to report on what I have noticed thus far on Mushers Secret.1. Mushers' Secret MS) cannot be found at most local pet stores. This I consider a negative fact for ER needs while traveling.2. MS has a nice, slight and natural scent to it vs. a fake and a bit strong aroma like a non-brand one from a major, local pet store did. Sorry I don't remember the name of it.3. It's very well known, which can be helpful.4. Due to the off brand version barely lasting a day, I was extremely surprised how MS has lasted days on Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) even on Rocky gravel and dirt roads.5. MS has helped soften and bring back the youthful and healthy paws of Maizy from the Dirt and Rocky gravel roads.6. A little bit goes a long way. :). Due to cost per ounce, I decided on trying the large MS.7. I am surprised happily, but Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) has not tried to lick off the MS off of her paws. She is teething.I have not tried it as a nose butter on Maizy.8. The large container of MS is pretty huge, so I would suggest maybe getting a small box or container to put a little bit in for ease of putting paws in it while keeping big container clean.##MS, please consider making the large size container with a removable mini container on the inside for paw "dipping" option. Just add holes in the mini container for dipping of paws to get just enough MS and for quick wash and dry as needed.Do I recommend MS? Yes, and I hope to recommend MS even more highly after hopefully positive results this Summer.

I live in the desert with a lot of sand and rough rocky terrain takes a toll on my dogs' paws. Been putting this on the dogs everyday before hitting the trails - does a good job of protecting and I actually notice a great deal of improvement in the overall health of their paws and nails.

I don't know how this stuff works so well but it does! I got it because my yard gets muddy just before, during and after winter.. My dog, a white golden retriever, loves to run. When he's out in the yard for more than a minute, he gets trashed with mud, and his paws get caked with it. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I used this mushers secret. His paws were clean after running around in the yard. Yeah he got messy, but his paws which are usually the dirtiest part of him were clean! Unreal! When there's snow on the ground, nothing sticks to his paws, nothing, not even a little! It took a little while for him to get used to me putting this on his paws, but now he just waits til I'm done rubbing it into his paws. You need to get it inbetween the toes and cover his whole paw, topside too. You won't believe how good this stuff works. And it's all natural and doesn't stain.. How can you beat that?! Won't hurt him if he tries to lick it off either.. This stuff is a must have if your dog paws get trashed in the yard. It's worth every penny.. Yes, highly recommended! You can probably find a hundred other uses for it too. I put a little on my snow shovel to keep snow from sticking to it.. A little goes a long way!
