So cute!
I love these!! They are incredibly cute!! I did a lot of reading up on them before I used them, though - thankfully! I always use marshmallow fondant.1 - you have to roll it very, very thin (I lightly dust my counter with powdered sugar)2 - let it sit rolled out for about 20 minutes (you want it to crust over)3 - spray the cutters with cooking spray4 - make sure you press the cutters all the way down to your hard surface5 - I use a knife to cut a square around each letter so that I'm only picking up one letter at a time and not the whole thing6 - I use a spatula to lift them from the counter7 - It's then very easy to pull off the excess fondant from the letter

These guys are awesome! I know there's negative reviews but let me give you a tip...look for a video on youtube on how to use them and then there is no problem. They are not a quick solution, it took me 2 hours to make 48-5's, but, my 5's are perfect and my customer was excited about them. So, don't hesitate to buy as long as you can learn from watching.

Very delicate letters.
Love the font but what a pain in the ass to use! You really have to have some patience here. Every time I pull these out it takes me some time to figure it out again. Use gum paste and after you roll it out, let it sit for a minute so it gets a little stiffer. Too soft and and breaks, too stiff and it also breaks! Need it just right… cut one letter at a time and really roll out your gum paste thin… and press it down and shimmy it side to side to get it to cut thorough. very carefully pull it out using one of those pointed modeling tools or a straight pin. wish is was a deeper mold with more spaces in the back to push the fondant out of the shape once it’s cut.

Waste of time and money! Save your sanity and keep looking.
Waste of time and money! It's way too shallow so it doesn't cut well at all! I used it to cut fondant. Could barely cut! I used the fondant roller to put as much pressure on it as I could, using my entire body weight to press and twist . . . still had to use a knife to cut the edges. If the letters were deeeper it would be more effective. I wasted so much time trying to cut these letters that it just wasn't worth it!!!!!

These were easy to use.
Funky letters and numbers were easy to use. Just remember to spray with a little cooking oil before using.

¡Chale! No way!
These things suck and I'm not sure what all the hype is about them. I've used fondant and gumpasted. Cornstarched and greased. Nothing seems to do the trick to free them from the cutter. I'm not sure what kind of voodoo magic others are applying to get these things to be successful for them, but I'd love to know considering they're currently just collecting dust. I've watched videos on YouTube showing people just CASUALLY tapping them on the tabletop to release from the cutter. Umm...no. They really do make it look easier than it is. I've literally snapped these things like a switch against the table and nothing. And if I do get it to release, I end up stretching the letter or snapping the cutter onto the hanging piece of letter - which puts a nice, big crease right into the fondant/gumpaste. So then I have to start all over again. The only way I get these to work is if I use a toothpick to try and help free it, and usually I end up with markings on my letters from the end of the toothpick. I wouldn't ever buy this type of cutter again - no matter how cute the font is. No thanks.

Works well
They worked perfectly? Once I figured it out. You have to roll your fondant very thin and let it harden a bit. Great products I'd like to get different fonts.

Works As Expected
If anyone has issues of your fondant sticking, watch Krazy Kool Cakes tutorial on how to use this tappit. Your fondant has be rolled out thin and your tappit and fondant has be well dusted with cornstarch.I followed her method and this worked perfectly.
