Launching Dioramas!
These are great models with DETAIL included on each one!!! We will create a space museum and an astronaut training center.these will work great!!! Not all in one scale, but I think they will fit in because of the varied items and attention to detail!!!Wish there had been a couple more astronauts!!!

Small space toys
They were great. We met up with family visiting from Texas. I brought this and some other space things for my 3 year old cousin. He loved them and they kept him busy while we were eating and visiting at a restaurant.

Great Resource For Learning About The Space Missions!
I bought these as teaching aids to help my kids learn about the space missions. Concepts are so much easier for them to grasp if they can hold and play with the things they're leaning about, rather than just reading about them in a book. The figures are well crafted, the pieces have been nicely painted and they're fairly detailed which helps them look more realistic - space monkey has fur, the astronaut suits have wrinkles, and the moon rover has tire treads. They also have their names on the underside in case you need help identifying what they are. Most of the pieces in this set stand up on their own fairly well. The only thing I find a little cumbersome is the tube itself. While it's great for storing, it's compact size and odd shape makes it difficult to get the figures in and out - the rope handle also seems to get in the way. Other than the somewhat troublesome tube, the figures in this set are great and I will definitely be buying more of these collections.

Great Game Pieces
Our son created a monopoly type game about space and these were used as the playing pieces. They were so cute and fun to use. Everyone loved them and our son was so excited when they arrived.

Good for small worlds
They work for our purposes. I'm homeschooling my four small children, and we're doing a six week unit on Astronomy. I'm using these as figures to put into their "small world" (a tub filled with sand and "spacey" items, kind of like an interactive diorama). They're perfect for this purpose. These are very soft, plastic toys- rubbery and flexible. I think this will allow them to stand up to the rougher play of my toddler. They are obviously not to scale, so they may not work if your child is wanting pieces that are proportionally sized to one another. The monkey is nearly the same size as the astronauts. The details are great. Very detailed. The monkey's suit has a fabric-type pattern on it, and you can see wrinkles in things like elbows and knees. The one downside that I've noted is that the paint is pretty messy. I don't know if they used an airbrush to apply it or what, but mine have random speckles of gold paint on some of the pieces.

Great quality for price!
I bought both the Safari Ltd-TOOB and Wild Republic space figurines for my daughters to use in their sensory bin. I MUCH prefer the Safari Ltd-TOOB brand! The quality is much higher than that of the Wild Republic brand. The material feels like a sturdy rubber, whereas the Wild Republic figurines feel like they are made out of light, cheap plastic. The TOOB figurines are also much more detailed. I attached a picture to show the difference in quality. My one wish is that the TOOB brand had a few more astronauts.

Educational and entertaining
This is a great set, I would highly recommend finding the old educational filmstrip "Ham, Pioneer in Space" on YouTube to see many of the pieces in this set come to life. I set up a sensory bin for my boys and my four year old especially loved playing with it. We used lentils or beans as space rocks or the moon and added in some bouncy ball planets and glow in the dark stars. He just loved seeing ham, the chimpanzee, and allow the parts of the shuttle he rode in. The only tough part is that the pieces are not in the same scale, but this is common with the toobz and pretty hard to avoid with subjects that differ in size so greatly.

Most pieces were just fine
Have purchased this brand in the past and liked what we got. Maybe we got a bad batch. Bought one for putting in terrariums around my house- the grandsons love finding characters hidden in them, and the other for them to play with. Two or three satellites were torn up in each container- the finer parts broken off. Glad there are plenty of other pieces to play with.
