a nice book by jack canifield. actually all his books are good but this chicken soup and the soul series is a wonderful series and very motivating too

This book is the loveliest pick-me-up. Any time you're losing faith in people or feeling down, open this book just about anywhere and let the sugary sweetness give you emotional diabetes. Not only that but they're great gifts for anyone who likes a quick read (since you can dip in and out of stories). If you're a bit cynical, give the book a chance. It'll warm the stoniest of hearts!

Oh, give me more, give me more...........I could read all these books forever - uplifting, spirited, inspirational stories of real human endurance and grit, sensitivity, love, personal challenge and personal growth, quiet heroism, odds-beating human potential etc., and an utter antidote to the chaos, and misery-inclined craziness of our times. I read myself to sleep with it and fall asleep with a smile on my face, hope restored.

Heartwarming and perfect for bedtime reading. Good if you've been through a hard time and need some relief. Nice that all stories are relatively short, most being only a few pages, so good for reading on the go. Didn't blow my socks off, but I think the point is warm pyjamas, thick socks, a hot chocolate and this book.

This book has something for everyone, it is divided into 7 sections entitled: 'On Love', 'Learning To Love Yourself', 'On Parenting', 'On Learning', 'Live Your Dream', 'Overcoming Obstacles', and 'Eclectic Wisdom'. It's basically a collection of short stories, usually a couple of pages long, which are heart-warming and inspiring.I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting, it was that fascinating and touching. I've highlighted stories which were particularly poignant to me and will no doubt return to them again and again, when in need of inspiration. In the current economic climate and with all the negativity in the media, we could all do with reading something positive, to redress the balance, and this book provides that opportunity.Having only finished the book today, it's too early to say what lasting impact it will have on me but I'm sure that it will become a significant influence, and I look forward to investing in more 'Chicken Soup For The Soul' books.

I love these stories of real life situations.They bring hope, joy tears and just about every emotion you can think of whilst reading.Plus because they are short you can read just a little and dip in and out whenever you have a few minutes.

Great book

Fabulous insight into life

A friend recommended this book to me after having a difficult few months. The stories although a little dated now still are relevant and help you think about ways you can make small changes to the way you are and the impact you might have. Looking forward to writing my own list of 127 things to do!

This book was amazing!!! Definitely recommend it!

This book feels quite dated and I'm not enjoying the stories as much as the newer Chicken Soup Books. I was a bit disappointed. Having said that I would buy other Chicken Soup books as they are, on the whole, gorgeous, inspiring and affirming.

the original of the now monumental series, wonderful collection of stories to warm the heart and soul it truly it.the perfect gift for someone going though a hard time or just something to dip in and out of every so often
