It works. My Drobo is working again.
It seemed expensive, but I did not want to risk trying cheaper alternatives that were not specific to Drobo.

Did the trick
After my Drobo 5D power supply failed a few months after the warranty expired, I found it more expedient to simply purchase this directly from Amazon than to deal with Drobo. Drobo didn't offer to sell me a replacement unit and while their service was polite, it was less than really helpful. Basically, out of warranty or their (expensive! ) extended warranty, I found their service lacking. The device / SW seems quite good but let down by lower cost engineered power supply. I probably should have bought two...

It works just frin on a Drobo5D
Works fine, as to be expected. Just hope this one lasts longer than the OEM that came with it. Not a huge fan of the price and was too scared to get one of the 3rd party options.

Counterfeit
It works, but what I received was a knockoff power brick with a barrel-jack adapter of unknown quality. Smaller and lighter than the OEM power brick, so I suspect they skimped on or exaggerated the current rating. Had a hard drive die soon after I started using this adapter. It's probably unrelated, but I'm including it anyway in the name of full disclosure.

Fast and reliable replacement
So far so good. The original power supply lasted from January 2014 until October 2018. This one has been going strong from October to January 2019 so I don’t think I will have any problems.

Good quality replacement.
Needed a power supply to replaced a failed one on one of my Drobo 5Ns. Worked without issue and has been running well for months. Not a complaint, but the power supply is slightly larger than the one I got with the Drobo.

Not original Drobo, but it works.
Not an original Drobo power supply, but it does work. Also, power supply delivered does not match the photo. They appear to be using a photo of the original Drobo power supply, which is not what they are selling. Over-priced for a third-party product.

Resolved Drobo all lights flashing issue.
Drobo forums said to replace the power adapter and I was VERY unsure but $200 VS Drobo replacement made this a NO BRAINER.

unsafe aftermarket modification
Does not work Only supplies 10V instead of 12V, does not have the proper connector and requires an "extension" adapter. Definitely do not buy.

Works fine, and arrived reasonably quickly. Good thing as Drobo power supplies are mostly crap
